I used to eat McD’s at least weekly. Now, it’s probably down to quarterly. For some reason, I just don’t crave it like I used to.when you want an appetite for McDonald's

That's probably key. If you stop eating it on a regular basis, the craving goes away. In fact, I have been surprised that it didn't taste as good as I remembered. Which kept me away even longer.I used to eat McD’s at least weekly. Now, it’s probably down to quarterly. For some reason, I just don’t crave it like I used to.
Food is not addictive and McDonald’s isn’t food it’s bio-engineered feed for human livestock.Hi there,
So this is intended as a thread in which to share the burden of being addicted to McDonald's, but also to brainstorm ways of beating the addiction.
Off the top of my head, it might help to meditate on MacDonald's food, as if it is decaying and dying - that is a Tibetan Buddhist trick, to kick over-eating in general.
Also, there is prayer: I have asked my faithful Mum a couple of times, to pray that my addiction would go away.
Part of it, is just staying clear (from McDonalds') altogether, not going in for a pancake or a piece of cheesecake.
What is your experience? There are some people, that eat it every day without fail - I don't envy them!
In my life, I haven't really eaten that much, it is just that I had a craving for it from a very early age and I reached the point where I realised "Hey, I really don't have self-control in this area of my life".
Tell me what you think? Would Jesus eat McDonald's?
FACTS:
Some…will ask Gods blessing over a sit down meal…
Few…will ask Gods blessing over food & drink on the spur.
Few…will ask Gods blessing upon what they put ON their body.
I only rarely forget to bless a sit down meal.
I bless my drinks and food on the spur sometimes, when I remember to.
I never thought about blessing what I wear but it sounds like a good idea.
And Brother, all food is addicting to someone. Everyone has their favorite food that they have eaten too much of before. Like everything on earth that is sinful is addictive. Sex is addictive, all drugs are addictive, sleeping, and anything that you can think of that is perceived by our 5 senses, and we are instructed to make the flesh stand down and overcome the flesh. That's what fasting is all about.
Fasting is about (a temporary with-holding) what we consume to Sustain our bodily life….
Our bodily LIFE…is BLOOD.
Our (senses) LIFE…is Gods breath. (SOUL)
Meaning…
Ears, eyes, nose, mouth, tongue, flesh….
Are all Sustained via Blood flow.
Ears…hear
Eyes…see
Nose…smells
Mouth…utters sound
Tongue…tastes.
Flesh…….Feels touch
By through of the Power of Gods Breath (Life). That man being given a SOUL from God.
Fasting does not diminish blood flow.
Fasting does diminish intake of food that sustains the body’s life…
(It is a temporary experience of willingly suffering, as Jesus was willing to suffer the temporary treatment inflicted upon Him.)
God bless you.

I cant disagree with you what said, but there's a little more to it than that. It says in the OT that we fast to afflict our souls. Which is to say to humble ourselves before God.
Paul told us that it is not I that sins but sin that lives in my body.
Our body is all about the 5 senses.
My Point being…the fasting…the not eating…to (temporarily) willingness to Suffer, as Jesus did…(He had the power to Put a Stop to the Suffering inflicted by men upon Him…BUT willingly Allowed the Suffering.)
Not eating, is not pleasant!
Our body’s ARE Already sentenced TO DEATH….God requires it.
(Gen (9:5)
Rather I would say, the “senses” are ALL about the SOUL in a man.
Regarding SIN…”IN” a man…YES…all Body’s of men have SIN “IN” their body’s.
DIFFERENCE IS:
* Some men HAVE…forgiveness of their SIN and their SIN is covered by Gods Light, no longer SEEN or REMEMBERED by God.
* Some men HAVE….no forgiveness of their SIN and their SIN is not Covered by Gods Light, and their SIN, is openly, daily, moment by moment…SEEN and REMEMBERED by God.
Regarding Praying -
* Yes…seclude yourself from others, noise, distractions, to have a meaningful conversation with God…
* Yes…in Gods House (His house of Prayer), pray in Agreement WITH fellow saints, all in agreement for God to hear…
* Yes…anywhere, anytime, individual saints, can have conversations (via prayer) to and with the Lord God.
God bless you.

My point about the praying is that, we already know we should pray and that it is a commandment. But the Lord puts fasting on the same level as praying in Matthew 6.
He excpects us to fast. And when you feel hungry, you offer that meal to the Lord and go feast on His Word instead.
And the sense are al about the soul of a man, so he commanded us to fast. I prayed about it before and He told me that almost anything can be an acceptable fast offering. You can not eat that one candy bar and offer it to the Lord and that is a good fast. You can turn off all of your computers, tablets and phones and do a digital fast! That surprised me!
I tried a digital fast one time. It was the worst 20 minutes of my life!

Seems the same way in the churches too .Sure, some people are “addicted” to grave, want particular foods….but more so I think the majority are “addicted” to ….
Impatience and convenience….
Sheesh…people get impatient waiting for a pre-cooked food to warm up in a microwave….or sit less than a minute at a stop light….or their air conditioner to begin cooling their vehicle….even not getting a reply text “quick enough”….LOL
sadly this be true my friend . they want their kingdom now . their will be done .Sure, some people are “addicted” to crave, want particular foods….but more so I think the majority are “addicted” to ….
