Hebrews 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

6:5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

Some say that partakers of the Holy Ghost in verse 4 applies to Jewish believers; some say this applies to unbelievers.

Hebrews 3:1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
In the verse above the brethren are believers in Christ and are called partakers.

Above, the brethren are referred to as partakers.

Hebrews 12:8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

12:9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

12:10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.

In the passage above, we can read that partakers, once again, is applied to believers.

Therefore, since partakers in the book of Hebrews, is never used in the sense of being unbelievers, it can be concluded, that it refers to believers.

Jewish believers fall away by reverting back to the Levitical priesthood. The book of Hebrews details a change in the law, and a change in the priesthood, because of the sacrifce of Christ. Hebrews 7:11 Hebrews 7:12 Hebrews 7:27

If they reverted back to Levitical sacrifices they would be putting Christ to an open shame. Hebrews 6:6

Like Esau, they would find no place of repentance to recapture their assurance, blessings and reward again. Hebrews 6:11 Hebrews 10:35 Hebrews 12:17

These are strong texts. They apply to all who have tasted of the heavenly gift. We are to stay focused. Thus the admonition throughout scripture to take sin seriously. Cherished, it will take one to perdition.
The message is sobering. Though Grace abounds we can cut it off as did Judas who also was given the gift of healing and preaching.

Wadr you say they would find no place, but I Read that they cannot be brought to that place. Granted, they "cannot" find it, but I guess you see the point there

I believe two types of faith exist in the bible. Flesh faith that people have when they buy advertised goods thinking them worth the price. And Holy Spirit faith, sustained in the believer by the Holy Spirit. Both groups partake of the Holy Spirit to a degree. Legalistically, law keeping brings reward but doesn't save. Only Holy Spirit faith saves. So those who fall away were partakers of the Holy Spirit up to a point. But never truly converted.

To partake, taste and share in the Holy Spirit is not the same thing as being born again.

Romans 8 is undeniably OSAS.

No one in the OT was born again, so they could fall away from God.

Above, the brethren are referred to as partakers.

Hebrews 12:8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
