Appeal from a patient suffering from Depression and Schizophrenia.

I am a person suffering from depression and schizophrenia.

I have been receiving treatment for this mental illness for about 20 years.

Even though it was very difficult to get an education with this illness, I studied web development in 2004 and worked as a web designer for 10 years in several companies until my illness worsened. In 2010 I had to quit those jobs due to unavoidable difficulties in day to day activities.

It is very difficult for me to go to places where people hang out.

Since 2010 I have been at home under medical treatment due to hearing voices, extreme fear and suicidal thoughts.

In the meantime, despite my illness, I was able to make a living by doing small projects received from friends while staying at home.

But my state of mind got worse and I cannot work any longer.

Now it's hard to manage my day to day life as I'm taking high dosage of antipsychotic drugs and due to side effects I'm getting dizziness, uncomfortable restlessness, stiffness and shakiness and fatigue.

If you can support me to survive my life, please watch the above youtube video till the end or visit my personal website mentioned in the signature.

There is one who heals Taga Chan, his name is Jesus; he came to love, heal and forgive.....will you call on him?

This is my exact story also. In 2001 God called on me to see a psychiatrist, who put me on meds. My life improved and I worked for about 8 years more. But my illness caught up to me as it always does. schizophrenia is a progressive illness which means it gets worse over the years. I'm going to try and go back to work but I fear I will fail as I did in 2006-2010. God doesn't always heal us but instead gives us doctors and medications to endure. God be with you.

The good news TC is that he has saved your life. His resurrection ensures your healing because it was for you. Will you trust him?

Reading the Bible is extremely powerful.

My book suggestion would be the book of John. (King James Version if possible, with a more modern version to refer to for clarity and understanding.)

Always pray for God's guidance before you read.

Here is an article about how reading the Bible purifies and gives spiritual nutrients to your soul.

I put my hope in the Lord alone...He has brought me through many storms.
Once, after I had neuroleptic malignant syndrome, caused by the drug stemetil, a member of a group of drugs called phenothiazines, my heart stopped.
After repeated attempts to revive me, the hospital staff were recording my time of death when my heart started beating again. Years later, I remembered having what is called a near death experience, where I met face-to-face with Jesus.

There is hope, my friend. You don't mention the medication you are on, but I suggest you talk to your doctor about Venlafaxine and Olanzapine. I have been taking them for around 10 years now, and can just about cope with life.

Wishing you all the best, 2RM.

I'm taking sertraline, clonazepam and risperidone. With help from medication I am able to lower critical mental status.

Yes, I know those side-effects and they do make one's life pretty miserable. When I told the doctor about them, though, he took me off my old medications and put me on Olanzapine and Venlafaxine. And I have had no issues in respect of side-effects since.

    Best wishes, 2RM.

I will ask the doctor regarding these medicines whether he can prescribe this to me. Thank you!
