[COLOSSIANS 1:9-10 KJV] 9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard [it], do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

If you don't acknowledge what his will is in this dispensation you can't please him or be fruitful. We can only understand his will for us today thru Paul.........[EPHESIANS 5:17 KJV] 17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord [is]...........It is thru obeying the commands given us by Paul that we express his will and please him................[1THESALONIANS 4:1 KJV] "Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort [you] by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, [so] ye would abound more and more." [1THESALONIANS 4:2 KJV] "For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus."[2THESSALONIANS 3:4 KJV] 4 And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.

If you follow Christ after the flesh by following the twelve in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, you are following his will for them. His will for them was to keep the law........[ROMANS 2:17-18 KJV] 17 Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God, 18 And knowest [his] will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law; We aren't under the law.....[ROMANS 6:14 KJV] 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
