we had a smaller attendance today than usural in church today .. because many of our members were attending a funeral service for a young husband and father on the res .. confessional lutheran church services in sermon and liturgy are law and gospel messages about our sins and our only savior from sin Jesus christ.
we have confession of sin then absolution because of christ work on the cross then we have 2 readings from the epistles and then we stand for the reading from the gospel then the sermon than the lords supper . The hymns song during the service also coralate with the sermon .. The sermon today was about the importance of Christ assending to the right hand of God after all the work was done to bring us back to God .. his perfect life in our sinful place and his dying for our sins.. only after he destroyed sin death and the devil did he take his rightful seat again as the right hand of God the almighty one due all glory and honor forever.. assension is one of the 3 most important dates in the christian calender along with christmas and easter. in Grmany its still a national holiday ..

I went to the AOG Church today and it was kinda awesome... ;) The Pastor preached about the woman at the well John 4:4-42 and how Jesus broke through all sorts of traditional and religious barriers just to talk to a "woman" of "Samaria" [Jews do not associate with Samaritans] who was "living in sin" at the time. AMAZING!
