Is it true that continuing to sin will cause our hearts to become hard, that if we continue to sin that God will stop speaking to us and will not answer our prayers anymore? I won’t go into detail but I wonder if that’s what I’m going through right now.

Sin will always separate us from God. He doesn't move away from us when we sin but the gap between us and God gets bigger and wider the more we do sin. So we need to ask the help of the Holy Spirit to help us stop what we know is wrong. We never have to go it alone, and he never stops hearing us but we are the ones who stop hearing him or listening out for his voice. And then we can get so eaten up with shame that we think he wants nothing more to do with us; but the parable;e of the prodigal son shows us that is not the case. And when we repent and seek his forgiveness he will hold us close again.

Callouses develop on the heart if one makes no effort to improve himself or to surrender himself more completely to God all of the time. Apostle Paul wrote:

"Rejoice evermore.
Pray without ceasing." I Thess 5:16-17

Cannot do those things alone? Ask God for help!

"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." Matt 7:7-8

I guess I kept sinning and I wouldn’t stop, and so I felt like God stopped answering my prayers. How do I make God answer my prayers as he did in the past? In think I am sorry for my past sins, if I know myself

If I’m not making sense I’m saying that I know all believers sin, that Jesus will forgive believers when they sin. However my situation is that I’ve continued to sin against God, I guess without repenting, to the point that I think he’s stopped answering my prayers. What do I do so that he will answer my prayers as he did before? Am I correct in thinking that God stopped answering my prayers because I kept sinning without stoping and repenting?

And I try to view God as my king, friend, provider, and my spiritual father.

Repent a thousand times a day if you must, but REPENTENCE is the answer. Whatever sin you are/were in...ask His intervention if you are having difficulties in a particular area.
The only thing God can't abide is...sin. We can walk away and allow our hearts to be hardened, and they will eventually become "seared as with a hot iron". (somewhere in first Timothy). It does not sound to me as if you have gotten to this place as you still have a conscience! :)
Jesus always said "go, and sin no more". If you repent of whatever it is, meaning it for real in your heart, He promised to forgive but...it is NOT a license to sin. It sounds like you are not liking your sin as much as you once did, or you are being convicted of it...and that just means (to me anyhow) that His Spirit is indeed still working in you to come home to Him and submit your whole life to Him, He's still knocking!
Pray and watch Him work brother.
God bless and I am praying for you right ....now.

Precious friend, I believe These Are The Scriptures That apply to believers:

beginning to sin:

Eph_4:30 And grieve not The Holy Spirit of God,
Whereby ye are Sealed unto The Day of Redemption.

not repenting, and stopping, but Continuing in sin:
1Th_5:19 Quench not the Spirit.

results:
Gal_6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for
whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

remedy? Perchance one is in UNbelief?:
2Co_13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith;
prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that
Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

God's Simple Will
!

understanding God's OPERATION on believers!:

God's OPERATION On All HIS New-born babes In CHRIST!
God's Eternal Assurance

believers' restoring "fellowship" With The LORD JESUS CHRIST!":
2Ti_2:15 Study to shew thyself Approved Unto God, a workman that
needeth not to be ashamed, Rightly Dividing The Word Of Truth.

God's Approval/TWO Gospels In Prophecy vs Mystery
"Distinctions" of Prophecy vs MYSTERY

Conclusion: Saturation With God's Word Of Truth = a LOT LESS sin! Correct?

If we deliberately continue in sin it is not that God will not continue to speak to us, rather it is that we disable our ears and we cannot hear him. Self reproach drowns out that still small voice.

maybe and maybe not
no one can really give you a definite answer

but continuing to sin will not yet make your heart hard but will make you worse and worse until your heart get cold for example if you are addicted to pornography but get disgusted to child porno and you like oral soon you will get tired of it after that you will seek whatsoever makes you lusted for pleasure soon seeking child porn and rape after that you yourself will rape in reality

the more you are not content the more you will ask for more

if you are too deep at the bottom i am not really sure how to repent but one thing is for sure if God is punishing you it simply means he still loves you therefore be sincere and repent that's what the word say

i think God will not hear you if you are wicked because that's what i know written in the words of God
maybe it's this Proverbs 15:29 The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.
God is not a liar but the devil
John 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
James 4:2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
James 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
whatsoever you think of this it is all up to you but i think it means you can ask and if you ask in christ name that he will do but if you ask something not for you that he will not give because it is not for you

also you should consider thinking of this are you sure God have abandoned you or is it the other way around that you are the one who abandoned him you are the one who put up this thick wall that's why he cannot hear you nor can you hear him

How do I make God answer my prayers

You don't, you can't.

God is not a sugar daddy fulfil our ever whim.

Temptation is endemic in life, we all have to learn to reject it, to walk away, turn the mobile phone etc off, to look and think about other things.
take a look at sportsmen, they train hard for there competitions, separating from everything that distracts from training and the competition.

We need to copy them ad concentrate on living for Jesus, whilst also living in the world.

Hebrews 3 specifically speaks to your question, where the writer warns us, the brethren, not to harden our hearts through the deceitfulness of sin, and thus DEPART FROM the living God.

If you’ve departed from God, that would explain why your prayers aren’t being answered.

But if you sincerely repent every time you know you’ve sinned, because the Holy Spirit convicted you that you’ve sinned, it’s forgiven and forgotten each time.

Even if you’re struggling with a repeat sin, you start over with a clean slate each time you’ve repented and asked for forgiveness - and you should pray and ask for Jesus to deliver you from bondage to that sin.

Repeat as needed.

Blessings

@Pearl What a wonderful message! ♥♥♥ to you!

@RipTide sometimes we fall so short that we think we cannot be forgiven. Oh, I know that feeling!!! But we have a merciful God in heaven who will forgive, if we are truly sorry. The fact that this is bothering you so much you are asking about it shows that you have a contrite heart, and therefore, thank God, a way back.
Sometimes Satan takes advantage of the depression we feel when we think we are far away from God. Be careful of this. I beat myself up alot because of my past sins. The Apostle Paul is not the chief of sinners--I am. Many times it is far from me to believe that He could love me after all the bad things I've done. I have to go by what He says in His Word, though. That's all I have. That's all we all have.

God Bless you!!!!!!

Past sins are past . The devil can remind me of all the wicked vile things i used to do .
BUT i know WHOSE I AM . God changed me , I DID NOT change me . HE DID .
HE is the one that put a new heart in me . HE is the one that first drew me to saving faith in Christ .
We must simply be grave and serious as were the first apostles .
Sin is deadly and it sure can harden a heart and cause one to fall away . Paul said it first .
BUT , if we are convicted of said sin and we repent , WE ARE RESTORED . AND there is NO NEED to look back again .
LOOK only forward unto the prize that awaits the lambs at the end of our faith .
There is good reason why paul sounds nothing like most preachers today do , when it comes to sin .
CAUSE HE KNEW TRUTH . PAUL said to not let it once be named . TODAY THEY SAY GOD UNDERSTANDS .
Way different mindset ............wouldnt you agree .
What is safe for us , iS TO KEEP the original pattern set in that bible . JESUS DELIVERED IT , The apostels taught it . We must
continue in it .

We also need to get the same mindset the apostels had about sin in the first place .
Stead of preachers teaching GOD understands , we need to sound a bit more like JESUS , paul , james , peter , jude and john sounded like .
AKA , LET IT NOT ONCE BE NAMED . DO NOT ERR my beloved brethren .
Cause your right curtis , SIN can harden a heart and they WILL DEPART FROM HIM and burn forever in the lake of fire .
WE gotta be more serious about error . And we got to also point folks to Christ and remind them , REPENT .
the REPENT word is rated R in most churches .

yeah . paul warned it would .
but my question is , what are the prayers you keep asking God to answer .
My advice is , start praying to GOD for help . Help to cease the sin before IT IS TOO LATE .

let me tell you, im as big a false convert as they come, and one thing i have learned through experience is that if you do something that you know to be a sin, and yet still do it, eventually it will get to a point where you cant feel bad about that particular sin. But it can also be a sign that you are a false convert also. Its not definitive, as even truly saved folk can pick up a bad habit after gaining salvation, but i would say if you did this particular sin before getting saved, and continue on after “getting saved”, you should re evaluate your salvation.

If we make little, or no, effort to resist the temptation to sin, I believe the Lord allows more and more trouble to enter our lives.
