An Alphabet of Christmas

A is for animals who shared the stable.

B for the babe with their manger for cradle.

C is for the carols so blithe and gay.

D is for December the twenty-fifth day.

E is for the eve when we're all so excited.

F is for the fun when the tree's at last lighted.

G is for the goose which you all know is fat.

H is for the holly that you stick in your hat.

I is for the that ivy that clings to the wall.


J is for Jesus the cause of it all.


K is for the kindness begot by this feast.


L is for the light shining in the east.


M is for the mistletoe all green and white.


N is for the noels we sing Christmas night.


O for the oxen, the first to adore Him.


P is for the the presents wise men laid before Him.


Q for the quiet of this holy eve as God's greatest blessing we all did receive.



R for the reindeer leaping over the roofs.


S for the stockings that Santa Claus stuffs.


T for the toys, tinsel, the tree.


U is for us the whole family.


V is for visitors bringing us cheer.


W is welcome to the happy new year.



XYZ bother me! So now to you all, wherever you be, a merry, merry Christmas and many may you see!

C - is for the Christ-child who was born amongst the hay.
H - is for the Holiness that came to earth that day.
R - is for the Royal crown that he was born to wear.
I - is for Immanuel, which means that God is near.
S - is for the Shepherds who were the first to bow.
T - is for the Truth who is living in us now.
M -is for his Meekness and also his Majesty.
A - is his Amazing love and his Authority.
S - is for his Spirit who remains with us on earth;

So let’s honour our king,
As our praises we sing
To celebrate his birth.

C is for the Christmas cake in which all the fruit has sunk.
H is for the Harvey’s which makes everybody drunk.
R is for the rubbish that’s wrapped up beneath the tree.
I is for the illness that runs through the family.
S is for the soggy sprouts that we’re forced to eat.
T is for the tele’ where everything’s repeat .
M is for the mother with her knickers in a twist.
A is for the arguments on which we all insist.
S is for the shopping which everyone forgot.
And when it’s all over we’ll plan for next year,
But for now folks that’s yer lot.
