If they tell you that you will never get well, hand them over to the Devil permanently - that they learn not to persecute your mental health

Hi there,

So yes, to be plain, there is a way for a psychiatrist to keep you scrambling for self defence: use conceit. What is the conceit that they use? For starters, that they are the psychiatrist, not you; secondly, that there is no reason for them to change their diagnosis, if what you do, justifies their conceit that it is up to them. These two things are enough, for them to prefer that you doubt yourself, than that you vex them with the possibility that your mental health will get worse. Your mental health could get worse, but it can never get so bad that you willingly die because of it. That's the problem. Psychiatrists know it will always be harder to justify yourself from a position of weakness, than that it will be up to them to justify their weakness, if they have one. Maybe they don't have a weakness, but they shouldn't push it on you!

That's where the Devil comes it, the Devil is an impartial tool, for the destruction of the flesh and the liberty of the Spirit - the Bible indeed teaches us that we should not quench the Spirit, and in addition to that, there is an argument that psychiatrists do just that. Paul admonished believers that kept believers that they had been handed over to the Devil that they learn not to blaspheme - psychiatrists that "over-diagnose" are the same, they need to learn not to over-diagnose. So where the Devil can destroy the pride of the psychiatrist, that they have got a perfect diagnosis, the Spirit is able to live -the Bible again teaches us that we should wait for the Holy Spirit to answer for us, well, the Devil is the answer, at least to begin with. You must still give place for the Holy Spirit to answer, but you don't need to wait for the pyschiatrist to destroy your cognition with medication, at least not medication that doesn't agree with your recovery.

If the psychiatrists repent, good for them, they will be able to continue practicing, but to those that kick their heel up against the Lord within you, there will be a constant destruction of their soul. The Devil won't be trapped, either, if he has been employed ("loosed" you might say) to do the will of God, in the Name of Jesus he can do no other. It won't come back on you, because you knew the sanity you had when you employed the Devil, and have no need of someone correcting you, except in the Holy Spirit. That said, it is important to stress that you can't simply presume you are well and set the Devil on someone who is innocent of over-diagnosing - you must show caution. If you know in your heart that the diagnosis is completely false, then have peace in your heart that the Devil won't allow it to be heard of again. Have the Lord's peace.

I hope this has been of some encouragement and that you are empowered by it.

God bless.

EDIT: hand them over to the Devil permanently.

Just handing them over to the Devil for a moment, is not enough.
