You would think cooler heads would prevail ..... Nope

Democrats are screaming at the top of their lungs for sanctions and other penalties against OPEC, Saudi Arabia and Russia ....

Instead of starting meaningless, pointless actions ....why don't we do something simple, such as backing down on regulations strangling oil production in the US while opening Federal lands to drilling?

OH, that's right ....Mythical Unicorns sucking rainbow farts in the name of climate change ...

Keep up now ....If Venzuela, member of OPEC, starts shipping oil through Chevron to the US ....it's because the White House reduced sanctions and bought Maduro a new yatch.

There are many lies out there about how well renewable green energy works
Dominion Power's offshore wind project might never get off the ground as they can not guarantee they will produce enough power, as in it is likely to be under 42%, a significant shortfall in power production. I hope it does not get built. Shortfalls will be paid for by their customers as in much higher rates for electricity.

• Dominion Energy Virginia will abandon its planned 2.6-GW offshore wind farm if state regulators don’t reverse their decision to set a performance guarantee requirement for the $9.8 billion project, according to a rehearing request filed this week.
  
  
• The Virginia State Corporation Commission’s decision that Dominion’s customers must be held harmless for any shortfall in energy production below the project’s expected 42% average annual capacity factor, measured on a three-year rolling average, is “untenable,” the utility said in a Monday filing with the agency.
  
  
• “As ordered, [the performance guarantee] will prevent the project from moving forward, and the company will be forced to terminate all development and construction activities,” Dominion said.

These stupid projects are built and then they dont work very well, and consumers get to eat their costs with big bills.

I was at a Wind and Solar Seminar when Trump owned his Casino/Hotel at Atlantic City. What made the trip worthwhile was staying in the Trump Hotel. On our return to St Louis. We were informed that we would conduct a formal presentation before the Board of Directors at CG Power Systems. I let the young anxious engineers go first. I knew they felt they could sell the world ..... We were providing transformers for Wind and Solar Farms worldwide ...The young engineers finished ....everyone was excited ....I started. "This is worthless venture for the future. Don't get me wrong, this is my catalyst for turning the company around in the US. However, this venture is doomed to fail."

Why? You cannot operate a wind or solar farm without a fossil fuel or hydro power plant upstream from the farm. The transmission line running parallel to the farm is what is used to ship the power to the consumer. Trouble with this? Every one of those power plants have spinning reserve on standby waiting for the wind to stop or the sun to not shine ....the spinning reserve takes ove to replace theloss of that Co-Gen unit. Wind and Solar Farms are Co-Generation ....they do not power a transmission system. I gutted the entire theory of Wind and Soalrbeing the savior of the world ....Wind and Solar oversell their capabilities .....Someone in Virginia figured this out. Nameplate for a Windfarm is a calcualtionbased on 100% production 24/7 for a year ....Guess what? That never happens ....Someone figured this out in the Regulatory Agency and has called their bluff.

"Pound sand" would be more suitable. Actually OPEC and Russia should be applauded for telling Biden to take a hike. They all know that between the USA and Canada there is more than enough oil and gas to not only meet domestic needs but to also export these essentials. But what we have in D.C. is a Ship of Fools determined to crash into an iceberg when there is no need to do so. And that means that they will fulfill their goal of destroying America and Americans.
