Coming to a wallet or purse near you. Gone will be the old magnetic strip on your debit cards and now you will have your own personal micro-chip.I remember reading Hal Lindsey and others back in the 1980's predict "smart cards" as a way to buy and sell. Hard to believe back then , no computers or scanners or microchips like we have now.But most of all , my thinking was that there would be absolutely no way people would accept such a system. Yet here we are , going to the bank to get our new card with a chip in it.There has always been speculation the next step would be to implant it under the skin as the mark of the beast spoken about in Revelation. Not so far fetched any more. It sure would add to security . If everyone in the world required such an identifier we could almost eliminate crime , terrorism , tax fraud and financial fraud. Nobody could "hide" anymore. Especially the fraudsters and criminals. It would be a perfect system.Canada has always been in the forefront for debit card use , so much that there are now stores that do not take cash , only debit and credit cards. The majority of paychecks and government checks are now deposited to electronic accounts. In other words , you must have a debit card to access your funds. In order to make this work , banks must accomodate everybody who requires an account and there are special training sessions showing new users how to use debit cards. I have watched elderly Canadian Indians use debit cards at the grocery store. Previously these folks had never had bank accounts , many cannot read , nor sign their names , yet now pay and receive funds electronically. The Canadian Government will only dispense Indian Affairs money by this system in a lot of cases. Here is a short pdf document announcing the chiphttp://www.cucentral.ca/Interac_28oct08And a short tutorial for the merchant on how to use the card.http://www.interac.ca/pdf/ChipTransaction.pdfAnyone who is a student of human nature or is familiar with tactics required to get people to change know that a crisis is required first , the change is the solution , and people will comply. The key is the crisis, so keep your eyes open in case there should ever be a crisis in your country or the world ........Martin W.
