Thank you, but this won't move me from reading the KJV as my primary English Bible. There's nothing in the article I haven't read previously but it is a good refresher and I would not discourage people from reading it, in spite of my preference. Note that my preference is NOT due to a belief that the KJV is the best translation, but rather that is the best for me. What I have learned from it cannot easily be translated in myself from another version that I don't read regularly. I have never read another English version regularly and after all of these years in it, I hardly think a change would be helpful for me. I speak for no one else.
Cannot God guide a person through even the worst of translations [which one is that?] to his Truth, if the person is really hungry for His kingdom and His righteousness?
"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled." Matt 5:6 [Modern KJV]
"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be completely satisfied." Matt 5:6 [Weymouth]
"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled" Matt 5:6 [NIV]
"Happy are those who long to be just and good, for they shall be completely satisfied" Matt 5:6 [Living Bible]
Give God the glory!
What you say is so, but don't presume to say that what is best for you is necessarily best for everyone else. We are, or should be, led in our walk with God by the Holy Spirit. Let the Holy Spirit in a person be the Helper, the one that assists, so that our growth is best as God sees it for us. We are NOT all the same part of the Body of Christ. The Head, Jesus, ministers to each part of His Body as I believe through the Holy Spirit which connects us all to Him. If you are not the Head, you should not presume to serve in that capacity.God can use any bible but he does expect us to use resources that assist our growth the best.

On this thread, yes.I'd never told to which one to use. Just shared information.
I do strongly love the KJV.On this thread, yes.
On other threads you have expressed a disregard for the KJV in particular. On one thread without addressing me directly you repeated my quoted KJV verses with the same versions from another translation. Was your purpose intended only to help others understand better? You need not answer.
It seems some are strongly for KJV while others are strongly against it, based usually on the expert opinions of other men, for the one side or for the other side. Do we really suppose God has a side in this that applies or should be applied to every man?

There's nothing new or enlightening in this article. Same old, same old.
God gave us Jesus and the Holy Spirit, they are the best resources, but usually lie forgotten and unwanted.God can use any bible but he does expect us to use resources that assist our growth the best.
As I already mentioned above, that issue has already been addressed. So in fact it is a non-issue. Here is a portion of Romans 2 from the King James 2000 Bible:Why ask them to have to also try to read in a dead language no one uses anymore?
Your points are well taken except you neglect the ability of God to know all of the circumstances and to fill in any gaps or correct any apparent errors when appropriate. Not a disregard but a recognition that the KJV is loaded with errors, hard to read for most and some treat it as if it is a God given and ordained version over all others. In fact the only one that should be used.
I post the NIV when the subject is very important, the KJV is difficult to understand or has an error in the verse.
I believe God wants us to be as accurate as we is such discussions. And that is not the King James version.
The word is sharper than any two edged sword. But the issues with the King James version can dull it for many.
The work I did in intelligence and government demanded accuracy. No errors were acceptable, regardless of how small.
The bible has eternal consequences. So the demand for accuracy is even higher.
A comparison… and why I like various translations. The King James 2000is a different version from the KJV. As is the New King James Version and other variations.
The KJVOist reject all of them.
Funny that group does not demand the 1611 version only.
King James Bible
Here is the KJV:
1 You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.
2 Now we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on truth.
3 So when you, a mere human being, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment?
4 Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?
5 But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed.
6 God “will repay each person according to what they have done.”
7 To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.
8 But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.
9 There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile;
10 but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.
11 For God does not show favoritism.
12 All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.
13 For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous.
14 (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law.
15 They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them.)
16 This will take place on the day when God judges people’s secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares.
