Is it sin if we eat meat with blood in it?

I like eating beef medium-rare cooked with blood in it.But in the old testament the Lord said we must not eat meat with the blood in it. (Must not eat the blood).Is it sin if we eat meat if not well-cooked, if the blood still in it?I don't see neither Jesus nor any Apostle have said about this "eating meat with blood in it".What do you think?I am a learner.1 Samuel 14:33 33 Then someone said to Saul, "Look, the men are sinning against the LORD by eating meat that has blood in it ." Does it mean that Grace has covered them all and all the laws are now annulled and we should not care any more about the laws in OT?What about the first commandment of the ten commandments "you shall not worship other gods"? Is it also annulled?We have discussed about "misuse of the name of the Lord" is a sin. This is also a law from ten commandments.Should we not read about the Laws of God given in OT? We may say we should, but just to know, not to observe.Many churches and Christians are still observing some laws in OT.Jesus said, "I come not to abolish the laws but to fulfill it".Does it mean the laws are now being fulfilled by Jesus so that we don't need to care about those laws any more if we believe Jesus?Do we only need to observe the new covenants given by Jesus?THANKS!

I doubt it's a sin to eat meat with blood in it, but why would you want to? That's gross.

Meat always has some blood in it. I think they were supposed to bleed the animal before butchering it. Not supposed to cook meat in blood.We are not under the old food or cerimomial laws anymore. But it doesnt hurt to look at why they had those law in the first place. Pork is very unclean unless you cookit thourghly. Shell fish has lots of mercury in it.etc

We are no longer under the law but under grace. The OT laws no longer apply. If they did, we would be stoning people for adultery, and we would be doing the same with disobedient children. We also couldn't eat pork and other things we enjoy. Of course, those laws were given to the Jews and might not apply to us "Gentiles" anyway.:angel9:

Christ said he came not change one iota of the law but to fulfill it.he has fulfilled many. You also must learn the differnce between Laws, Ordances and Statutes, We are no longer under the Statues, and Ordancesthey have been fulfilled by Christ we are under the Law of the ten commandments but Christ has fulfilled the Sabbath Law and become our restSabbath means rest,Now the health laws are still true but we are not judged for breaking them they are fulfilled by Christ and under grace.

This law meant that you are not to eat it with the life still in it. Blood is the life. If it has been cooked then you are okay, even if it is rare, it has been prepared. The laws of the OT still apply, but it is to our discernment how to react to them. In the OT murder was wrong, you were to trade eye for an eye. The OT and especially the law are not void. Murder is still wrong. God wanted Israel to put the evil out from among His people so stoning was the answer. That was not part of the law that was the punishment He told us to perform concerning the violation of the law. Murder is still wrong. I think God had Israel use stoning and death as a punishment to illustrate ultimately what that behavior leads to: death. So in one sense death was the fulfillment of the law, even if brought upon prematurely through the punishment. Now we are told through Christ to react differently to this, but even back then love was to still reign supreme.That's what the law was all about, and that's why Christ fulfilled it with His sacrifice for us. But God in His ultimate wisdom made some things stricter in a sense knowing that we would not otherwise heed them with the importance they were due. He's saying, "hey wake up, this is wrong and a slap on the wrist probably ain't doing you no favor to let you know that your going to die because of it." I think He was trying to show us some unseen principals that we would otherwise not heed. This is God in His wisdom of understanding over our little brains. The law is not void, ever. We may not fully understand it, but it is not void. Rather Christ fulfilled it, but as long as sin exist so does the law and via se versa. Hence we are told in the new testament that we are not to practice lawlessness. It is the same thing as inequity. A good read through Romans will really help in understanding this. There is too much to quote one verse, you got to take it all in.1 Samuel, Chapter 1431 Now they (Israel) had driven back the Philistines that day from Michmash to Aijalon. So the people were very faint.32 And the people rushed on the spoil, and took sheep, oxen, and calves, and slaughtered them on the ground; and the people ate them with the blood.33 then they told Saul, saying, "Look, the people are sinning against the Lord buy eating with the blood!"......The Israelites here were eating like wild animals off the ground here in a fresh kill. I don't doubt that God understands the health hazards here, he had many precautions in the law involving the spread of leprosy, etc. but I think that ultimately this is a disgraceful behavior for His people. beyond this I have found that great wisdom is hidden in the law, but that you need to give first to God and follow it to understand it. It is beyond mans wisdom. Some of the older prophets had incredible wisdom that we could stand to spend some time in.
