God is love (1 John 4:8). Therefore, to have faith in God is to have faith in God’s unconditional love which enabled Him to offer His life as a sacrifice for those who hurt Him and were unfaithful to Him. To have faith in His love does not mean that we merely know that He died for our sins (because even the devil knows that), but to put His love into practice; because, James (James 2:26) tell us that faith without works is dead faith. Furthermore, the scriptures tell us that love is above faith (1 Corinthians 13:2); love brings forgiveness of sins (1 Peter 4:8; Luke 7:47); acts of love are necessary in order to enter heaven (Matthew 25: 33-35); and forgive others in order to receive forgiveness (Luke 6:37). Therefore, is love above faith?

1 Corinthians 13:13 "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."

Something strange about love:God's Jealousy vs. God's Love - Reginald V. Finley, Sr.1. "God is love." 1. John. 4:8.2. "Love is not jealous." 1. Corinthians. 13:43. "I, the Lord thy God, am a jealous God." Exodus. 20:5.4. The Christian god cannot logically exist.

"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts." (Isaiah 55:8-9)Only a Person with the Holy Ghost would understand this, obviously you tend to object to God instead of Being submissive and Fearful of his Name. Typical of Man's Pride and Understanding.Matthew 11:25At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.Gnostic Huh? Hidden Knowledge? No wonder why the Lord has hid these things from you. It's your Own Reasoning and Understanding(Proverbs 3:5) and not Holy Ghost Inspired. :naughty:

You didn't understand what I was getting at. The Christian God is real. God's truth is just not located in the Bible in a literal sense. If you try and take the teachings literally, you'll come up as the contradictions above. God isn't to be feared. Satan is fear. God is not.

God isn't to be feared? ReallyProverbs 1:7The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction.Fear also has other connotations, it depends which fear you're using.Psalm 33:8Let all the earth fear the Lord, and let all the inhabitants of the world be in awe of him.Proverbs 8:13The fear of the Lord is to hate evil.If you would get those contradictions, why would you even present them? Do you want a new comer reading your post? It would turn him away from God cause he does not have the Holy Ghost.

Dear Unorthodox Christian...The word "fear" does not mean fear as in afraid or scared. It mean reverance.Jag

What makes you think I was using Dreadful or Terrified fear? WHen you object God you do not revere his Name because you add more to his Word with your understanding.

Okay... I was referring to when Dei-Gnostica say fear. I think he meant God isn't to be feared (as in God isn't to be scared of)Jag

Proverbs 19:23 (KJV)The fear of the Lord tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied: he shall not be visited with evil. Psalms 19:9 (KJV)The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. *The "fear of the Lord," a phrase of the O.T. piety, meaning reverential trust, with hatred of evil. *((( Super Kal ))))Amen! Your scripture was right on the mark.God :blessyou:

I think the best statement to this question is "God's love is greater than mans faith"
