Now because Jesus Christ is my Lord I try to do what I hear Him tell me. And I have not always voted, because there have been days like today when He told me, "Karl, vote for me". And I have to tell you that He also told me that my prayers to Him have a great impact on things than my vote today. Never-the-less, while I will pray today I will also vote even though it will almost certainly not make a difference in the presidential election, because of where I live. So mine is perhaps more of a protest vote, even a symbolic statement to the Lord about how my faith is in Him to change things and forgive us our sins.
I can tell you what I am not voting for and what I am - and it is not so much about the person or who they look, but about what they stand for. I will not vote for anyone telling people who say Jesus Christ is Lord, that they are at the wrong rally. That is because I know that this verse if from God:
1 Cor 12:3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is accursed”; and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.
So as a Christian and one of His sheep who does hear His voice, it is not possible that I should vote for one of the candidates! It is knowing voting for the devil, not that we don't all have our battles inside us. But rather one has at this point lost that battle in them.
And there is one candidate that put our embassy in Jerusalem, held back the war sponsoring state that is backing all the battles against the Jewish people, and another who was part of providing funds for that war sponsoring state that is backing all the battles against the Jewish state if Isreal. Indeed, one candidate set up three peace treaties with the Abraham accords, but of course only 2 could go into effect because the Lord Himself had it written, "peace, peace, but there will be no peace". And so it was that the other candidate was part of providing the funds that help stop the last peace treaty, just like foretold in the Bible which our Lord had written.
The choice is "clear" as some who don't know the Lord like to say but don't mean it. I mean it. It is clear who any and all Christians should vote for. Perhaps our vote is nothing more than a symbolic act, like putting olive oil on someone before praying for them, but I am going to pray for our country, and make that symbolic act showing that I want God, the Lord our God Jesus Christ, in our country and in the leaders of our country. It is written to pray for our leaders, should we not also take the symbolic act of actually voting also?
So talk to the Lord our God, Jesus Christ and listen. And if you even hear Him tell you otherwise, do it. There was a person who said He told her to prosecute Trump. But that just pointed out to everyone that she was involved in adultery, tearing another from his wife. So maybe He did tell her so that things would be brought to the light. The Lord is a personal God, and I don't always know the full reason for what He tells me, but I know He loves me, and us also. And I know that from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. I wonder if she is repenting now? I hope we are not as a country all regretting not listening to Him Today!
