This is a real querie for me. I know we associate Jacobs trouble with end times, but what was or is Jacobs troubles, and how is it connected to the end times?

It's just amazing to me that people associate this prophecy with the 'end times'. Jeremiah wrote that prophecy before Babylon completely destroyed Jerusalem, and people want to say that he wasn't prophesying about that and Israel's prior destruction and scattering among the nations? Bizarre...
