James 1:12-15
Young's Literal Translation
12 Happy the man who doth endure temptation, because, becoming approved, he shall receive the crown of the life, which the Lord did promise to those loving Him.
13 Let no one say, being tempted -- `From God I am tempted,' for God is not tempted of evil, and Himself doth tempt no one,
14 and each one is tempted, by his own desires being led away and enticed,
15 afterward the desire having conceived, doth give birth to sin, and the sin having been perfected, doth bring forth death.
Don't get drawn away from loving God, and the Lord Jesus Christ ~ Which leads to spiritual death and the quenching of the spirit.

Don't become harden to the spirit and extinguish it, hold fast to what is good, and abstain for every form of (evil -inward maliciousness - hardness of heart because of sin ~/ Sin makes our heart harden to God the more we indulge in to it).

15Make sure that no one repays evil for evil. Always pursue what is good for one another and for all people.
16Rejoice at all times. 17Pray without ceasing. 18Give thanks in every circumstance, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
