Salvation is Christ on the Cross.
When this is applied to you, this finished work of God as Christ on the Cross, then you have received the "gift of righteousness", which is "the Gift of Salvation".
This is GOD, as Christ, literally dying for your sin on the Cross.
This is already accomplished...2000 yrs ago.....which is not you keeping the law, or the commandments, .. as Salvation is a GIFT... It is in fact God Himself giving you His very own righteousness in place of your unrighteousness.
This is "the GIFT of Salvation" and "the GIFT of righteousness".
You can't earn it. You can only receive it by Faith.
Being born again, is not what you do, its what God does for you...,. based on what God as Christ on the Cross has done FOR YOU already, 2000 yrs ago.
If a person has this "gift of Righteousness" (born again) then they are """accepted in the beloved", "In Christ".....and are now a Son of God : for eternity.
Christ lives in them, and God is now their Father.
If you are not born again, then the Devil is your spiritual father, or as Christ says..."YOU are of YOUR FATHER = the DEVIL", and you will end up where your Father will end up, exactly as all the born again will end up with THEIR FATHER, in the end.
This eternal relocation regarding all the spiritually born again... is the Grace of God, which is the redemption of a human being, and the forgiveness of all their sin, .. which is the only reason God allows you into heaven.
God does not accept your good deeds, your commandment keeping, or your water baptism, to accept you. If He did, then Jesus didn't have to die for you on The Cross.
Salvation is not The Cross + you trying to keep the law and commandments.
Salvation is the gift of God, that is the blood atonement, that is completed as the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus The Christ.
Listen....... God only accepts what HE Himself provided to make you acceptable to Himself., and that is never ever what you do....as your works and your water baptism, and your lifestyle is never accepted as your salvation because none of that can pay for your sin.

So, you have to have your lifetime of sin resolved to end up in heaven, and you can't resolve your sin with deeds or water, or commandments, or law keeping.
See, the law and commandments and water..... have no power to make you righteous... and you have to be as righteous as God, to live IN Him and with Him.
This is why He came down here as Christ on the Cross........to provide you with His very on "gift of righteousness"". so that He can accept you.
Only Christ's life and blood and death ......and resurrection as PROOF, is accepted by God to make you acceptable, to God.
Reader....trying to go to heaven and be a Son of God based on law and commandment keeping and water baptism, is exactly how you will never go.

Who goes to heaven? ???
ONLY the born again....which is a spiritual birth, that can't be accomplished by getting wet in a pool, river, lake, or church baptismal.
Jesus said, "you must get wet".
No, he didnt.
He said...>"you must be born again", if you want to go to heaven, as only the born again, spiritually, are already there.= "seated in heavenly places",.. "One with God,".. "in Christ.".
See that?
So, being born again, is how and why, you go to heaven.......or not.
There is no other way. And if you are being told that water, works, law, and commandment keeping will get you there, then you are listening to a devil, who is not a part of the TRUTH.

Remember....The law is for the unrighteous., and the born again are "made righteous"., already.
