It looks like an "Abner Chou" has inherited the position of President of John MacArthur's Master's University in Santa Clarita, California. I am currently watching a sermon of his on God's conversation with Job out of the whirlwind...

4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?
6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; - Job 38

How much predestination did God have in mind when laying the foundations of the world? Hmmm... That ought to be an interesting sermon anyway.

Scripture says from before time began, we were called by His holy calling to be His by His grace, according to His purpose.
And that this was given to us from God, according to the power of God. Which means it can not be thwarted.

What God chose to do will happen as He purposed this in Himself, according to the counsel of His own will.

8 Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God, 9 who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began, 10 but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, 11 to which I was appointed a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher [c]of the Gentiles. 12 For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.
