Is 1 16-18“Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight.
Cease to do evil, Learn to do good; Seek justice, Reprove the ruthless,
Defend the orphan, Plead for the widow

.“Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the LORD,
“Though your sins are as scarlet, They will be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson, They will be like wool.

To reason with someone you put out what you are thinking then listen to them to hear what they are saying!! I love the ".“Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the LORD" part of the above verses. There is nobody as good at reasoning with you then our Lord Jesus Christ.

Now Christians (not Him) often start going 'OH YOUR JUDGING ME" when you try and reason with them. So this morning I was reasoning with the Lord on this subject. That lead to a really nice educational conversation with Him. We talked for a while. And while some of it was things we had already covered, some of it was new to me.

Frist - Jesus said that He did not judge people but as He heard He judged. So they got judgement, but it was not His. And remember Jesus said He did and said only what the Father told Him. He can do that because He is the Word of God and created to be so. I can hear from Him, but my efforts to do only what He says just don't work. I can do the things He asks of me some of the time, but try saying only what He tells you and nothing more. Your best will only get that done a little bit, because you are not the Word of God - He is. So basically, I try to make all I write focused on getting people to talk to Him! (It is the purpose of this post too)

So Second - His judgement are something you should want, but we don't want them! The price we pay for not wanting them is going to be eternal life!! The Jews are His people, but many to most of them did not listen to Him. So He went to the Gentiles (which doesn't mean Jews don't have the same opportunity they always had to find Him), and now Christians are His people, but don't we as people act just like they did? We don't want His reproof, so we don't actually seek Him, reason with Him, and listen to Him! (Not all but too many. Indeed who are those Christian which like to complain that someone else is judging them? Are they also complaining the God would judge them, even their Lord Jesus Christ except He judges as He hears!

Prov 1:23 “Turn to my reproof,
Behold, I will pour out my spirit on you;
I will make my words known to you.

Ps 81: 8 “Hear, O My people, and I will admonish you;
O Israel, if you would listen to Me!

Ps 81: 11 “But My people did not listen to My voice,
And Israel did not obey Me.

Ps 81: 13 “Oh that My people would listen to Me,
That Israel would walk in My ways!

Ps 81: 15 “Those who hate the LORD would pretend obedience to Him,
And their time of punishment would be forever.

So what to do? Well, what I do and did again this morning is: I take those thoughts to Jesus Christ and reason with Him. That is how I learn and it is the best way. So if someone tells me, "Oh, You are just judging me", when I am trying to help them seek the Lord for themselves, I can take that "judgement of theirs" (and saying I am judging them is a judgement of theirs)

So what about it, I asked? He explained, "Karl, I told you to preach the Word and I am the Word of God! Keep telling the to listen to Me!"

He was very firm on that. We need to listen to Him. And yeah I make judgements about people. I believe people are like me, and often I don't like people reproving me. I even have trouble going to the Lord at time because my human nature doesn't want His reproof either. Yet I have learned that is a problem with me and I just got to get over it. How else is a person going to learn if they don't get reproof, conviction, and judgement from the Lord. He doesn't condemn you if you seek Him, but He ultimately will if you don't. So He judgement are good and valuable! Remember that and get them!!

Lev 8:4 You are to perform My judgments and keep My statutes, to live in accord with them; I am the LORD your God.
Lev 8:5‘So you shall keep My statutes and My judgments, by which a man may live if he does them; I am the LORD.
Lev 25:18 ‘You shall thus observe My statutes and keep My judgments, so as to carry them out, that you may live securely on the land.

How are you going to keep and perform His judgments if you don't listen to Him?
