I do feel some compassion for this man and how he has totally destroyed his career and his life as he has known it. This is what the lust for more money does to people.
However, he does need to face the consequences. What he did was potentially very dangerous. Rioting could have resulted. Remember The Night of Glass? You do something and blame it on someone else -a group of people. And he did attribute it to a group of people when he said they were wearing maga hats.
I don't think his intent was to start rioting or cause a group of people to be harmed, but the potential to cause that was there. Thank goodness nothing bad happened, but what he did was quite dangerous.
