Phillippians 3:13,
13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
What helps the mind! Forgetting, forgetting the old way of living forgetting who you once thought you were, forgetting the sickness that plagued you in mind. That is the help for the sick mind, we live in a soul-sick-world. People don't just mame and kill, they can do it over and over again until stopped! Why? Because of their sick mind. The gospel healed all that, Jesus has provided a new life that people need to know about. Most cases it is not those raised in a somewhat normal environment, it is those that come from abusive situations, extremely abusive. That is not always the case but in general it will be.
The gospel stopped that, if the gospel can be given to the mind of extreme sickness it will be healed. Telling the sick to quite sinning and follow Jesus may work on a few but they are going to need to hear about the new life provided in Christ People need to hear it over and over until it becomes so fixed in them by the HolySpirit it becomes who they are. Nolonger a sick soul, but a productive Christ-ian that lives in this world with an agenda. Christians need to wake up to some facts and go to work on the sick soul.
Every born again believer will go to heaven, the battle now is for the mind. Satan has attacked the mind, even Christians can have severe trouble because their mind has not yet become subject to the spirit, soul and spirit, divide the two and move on out, move up if you will to who you are.
Counselors are a dime a dozen in the day we live in. A time when you could get some help is practically far removed. A pill will be the ultimate diagnosis of your plight even by the counselors. Even churchs are opening up counseling centers to try to help and buffer the out pour of sicknesses, some help may be found but most are just as the wordly and don't have much to offer.
What is it? why is there none to help cried the sweet Palmist of Israel? because a lack of the preaching of the gospel. Story telling, making rhyme's and riddles, making the gospel sound like poetry will not help the sick soul. It may entertain some but there is no help to the sick and psychotic. The grand old gospel will always be the only answer to bring humanity to a perfect state of mind.
