It's going to end up like the old west. People carrying guns to stop bad guys.

Part of the reason Texas passed open carry without a permit and also the Castle Doctrine, (use of lethal force allowed to protect your or another's castle/home) ,was due to the huge influx of illegals and the crime wave that follows.

When Biden was Delaware's Senator, (and it still is),open carry was law.
Then they amended a home defense law that allowed a citizen to neutralize a lethal threat outside the home. Whereas before their laws said the threat had to enter the home first.

Back then Senator Biden was cognizant. And pro-1st amendment.

One of the murderers is from Compton....it is a dangerous city adjacent to Los Angeles. So his companions were probably of the same gang mindset....robbery, violent crime.

Newport Beach where the crime happened is a very affluent area.

Although there is crime in Los Angeles, I've lived here since 1967 with no problems. Now, as a senior citizen, I have a lot of kind, helpful neighbors. Even some strangers I meet are kind and helpful to me.

No one wants to have to carry a pistol !
But their is a reason why one would think, maybe i should have a pistol on me ! because i do not feel safe ! Same within your own home, if you feel your not safe you take action to feel safer with.

I am thinking that i should have a pistol siting beside me where I sit or beside the bed, just a small 22 size 6 shot loaded all the time, with rat shot in the first shell.
I have stairs inside coming up and i have seen Rats come up, but they are quick when they see you they take off directly, but i want to be able to catch them in a flash directly as fast as possible. nothing worse that chasing a Rat that's in the house. and some bugger enters the house get it with rat shot directly in the face then comes the lead if need be.

My brother and his mates when young was shooting each other with 22 shorts, he said it hurt being shot with just that. So maybe 22 shorts will do to keep such people out. If not out comes the pump action shot gun.
