Monday 2-24-20, Shebat 29, 5780 2nd. day of the weekly cycle, 66th. Winter day

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews Twelve:1-2

Hebrews Twelve:1-4 KJV

Example Of Christ's Endurance

1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

Love always Walter and Debbie

Interestingly, God tells us to "lay aside the sins and weights". Not fight them off. Not struggle against them. Not command them in Jesus' Name. Lay them aside and run.

Is it really possible that all we need do is . . . let go, and let God?

Much love!

How does that fit with:

Galatians 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
4 But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.
5 For every man shall bear his own burden.

Is this a question for me? If so, I'm not sure what you are asking here.

Much love!

It's for anyone who can provide an answer. If you don't understand the question, never mind.

Proverbs Twenty Eight:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

Hebrews 12:4Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

I think the above verse is about those who just give in to temptation without asking Jesus for help.

James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

I believe the above verse better explains how we are to resist by submitting to God for help, and He will kick his butt.

1 John 3:3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.... 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

2 Timothy 4:18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

So if any one wants to do the work of God in his or her life, trust Him to do it.

John 6:28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? 29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
