The Christian life is like wearing wet cloths:
After being born again(pulled out this world’s ocean), we are saved but our cloths are still wet with sin.
Although we are being sanctified(by drawing closer to the Lord), and our cloths are getting dryer and dryer, we will always be sinners having sin in our life.
And every day that we keep drawing closer to the Lord our cloths are getting a little dryer.

The point being; We should never “rest easy”, thinking that we are free of sin.
Although all of our sin has been forgiven(past, present & future), we all still have sin in our lives....
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”
(1 John 1:8)

Just as it is uncomfortable wearing wet cloths, we should always be uncomfortable with our sin and be daily striving(as we study God’s Word), to deal with more and more of our sin by repentance.

Great analogy bigape!

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,
(ESV)

John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
