20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. - Galatians 2:20.
Look at the line in Galatians 2:20 that says "the life which I now live in the flesh." First flesh has two scriptural connotations. One is your container, flesh, bone, blood, tissue, and so on. Second it has the ability to act out in the flesh, mind given to body to pull off sin acts scripture referrs to as sins of the flesh. But that same flesh was created to contain, it contained sin and death, and now as a believer contains Christ. If you miss that part of the scripture your struggle in Christian life will be as real as the suffering. You spend all your time trying to clean an old man up and that will never happen. You think we would have learned our lesson when we were in the world where there is no cleaning up the mess. Jesus didn't try to clean it up He took it directly to the cross and killed it. So tell me pray tell, why in the world would you work so hard on trying to fix something that has been killed out already. Leave your flesh alone to suffer and die quit working to get it to where it loves everybody and never losses control and keeps all the laws of the land, on and on it goes. Move on and find some Christ life understanding. Are you not at a point where you see that yet. When a believer goes around and around the mountain in not knowing, that is what scripture referrs to as believing a lie and being damned. Your in trouble if you do and your in trouble if you don't. You are not going to fix up the old man, many have tryed and are still trying and it makes Christianity look like a laughing stock. We say one thing and do something else and stick our head in the sand like that didn't really happen and at the same time your tail feathers are getting beat off. Where does that come from? It comes from the gospel of correction. All some people hear day in and day out is how they need to fix up the old man and that is absultely a deception that Satan has a hey day with because it can never happen. It is not the gospel that comes from scripture it is the perverted gospel scripture says exsists.
This verse is where you find out that you were created to live by the life of another in you. Your body has never had a life of it's own (it recieved a life when Adam fell). This is probably the most important thing for a Christian to understand because it will be the catalyst to all your understanding in scripture. Adam was created lifeless but didn't take long for him to add life to his body. He was created a living soul and came alive physically when God breathed the breathe of life in him. He was innocent to listen and do what his creator told him to do. But he was lifeless in spirit, empty in spirit. It is my understanding Adam was created to contain Christ at some point but was not created with Christ in him. All he was spiritually if you will came from a direct communication with his Creator (Adam walked and talked with God in the cool of the day). But that still did not give him a life as we know life after he disobeyed God and ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and recieved a life, spirit life.
Now by a new life (spirit-sin-death-life-Satan nature-separation) Adam received is how Adam and all that would follow would live. Paul said we were to live the same way but our life would be Christ in the new birth, Satan out Christ in. The life of another in us, it is the only life you have in the eyes of your Father. Of coarse you still feel you have a life of your own. You think you have always had a life (spirit) of your own (soul mind issue). That is not the case and it is up to you to get ahold of the understanding in scripture and quit wallowing in self pity and sorrow if that is the case.
Most of the councel sessions I have spent with believers have been with those that have been in the Lord for awhile. Most babes are high on life and have no trouble so unless they just have old deep issues to talk about they are not the ones you see. Why is that? I call it alot of things but mainly it is hungry heart's needing to grow spiritually. I wish I could say that it will be an easy fix. I will say that fix comes from the minds eyes Paul said grabbing on to the ultimate plan and purpose of God. Bless you!
