Are you born again, or are you just water baptized?
This is an eternal difference.
One is a blood atonement that is eternal, and one is the city water system that does not cleanse away all your sin.

So, when we think of "sinless".
Isn't Christ sinless?
He's God, He came here to take us back into God's family.
God's family, Heaven, has no sin in it.
There is no sin found where God exists.
Agree?
So, you can't go to heaven, if you are a sinner, or if you have sin.
God removed it from you, through the blood of Jesus, if you are born again, and He replaced it with His very Righteousness.
He did this by becoming your sin and forgiving you of your sin, and also by fulfilling the Law which allowed Him to remove it from the "dominion" position regarding all the born again.
This is the "finished work of Jesus, on the CROSS".
Its done.

So, what now?
Well, you have sin consciousness...
See, most believers have this big misunderstanding about, '"having sin."
The born again do not have sin, we have "the righteousness of God in Christ".
You can't be righteous, as "the righteousness of GOD, in Christ" and also have sin.
God would not live in a "sinner".
He will only live where total righteousness is found, that HE CAUSES and COMPLETES, Himself.
He lives in us, we are a...."temple of the Holy Spirit" because the blood of Jesus has made us "the righteousness of God, In Christ".

So, where do these "sinful" thoughts come from?
Where do carnal thoughts and carnal desires come from, when they are in your head, and you are born again ??
They are put in your head by the demonic, or they are what is left as a "thinking pattern" regarding what your dirty mind use to be like, before you were saved.
This remnant of carnal thinking, is not you being a sinner, its only what remains of the sin pattern that was your mind, that was dirty, before God washed it in blood of Jesus.
So, all of us have these remnants of carnal thinking when we are saved.
This stuff remains, because its a sort of mental etching in our inner mind.
This is "sin consciousness".. And it will take over our minds if we try to resist it... by willpower.
So to resolve this, we have to get that sin consciousness totally under control..
How?
By becoming totally mentally secure (right Believing) regarding our understanding of the Grace of God and the Peace of God.
We have to understand that nothing we do can take us away from God's Grace.. and when we begin to live in that peace and assurance, Christ begins to give us absolute Victory over our sin consciousness.
So, when we LIVE in the understanding of our eternal and unchanging PEACE with God and acceptance by God, (Blood Atonement)= we stop trying to "be good" so that God will keep us, and we allow God's Goodness to become our rest and our mind and our right believing.

When you get to that place in your BELIEVING, you will REST in God's Grace, and sin consciousness will dim and dim and die.
The power of Grace is to allow you to REST in the Peace of God., and this resting is how you stop committing carnal deeds.
You dont "live right" by trying to live right, you live right by Resting in God's Power, which is the Grace of God.
To REST in God's mercy is to be delivered from your striving and failing to live right.
See it?
You'll actually get to the place where you dont think about "sinning", and if you do, its such a weak pull or desire.... thats its nothing.
And that is FREEDOM, Spiritually, = Perfected Discipleship Lifestyle.
You can actually become this verse. Paul says.....

"""""use not your FREEDOM, for an occasion to the flesh"""".

Paul is teaching....>""""now that you have come to the place of perfect understanding of your position in Christ (God's Grace)...that it is eternally secure, no matter how you behave.....don't then use this revelation to enjoy some carnal behavior".

See, you can actually become so free from sin thoughts = sin consciousness, that you would have to choose to do it, vs being tempted.
Thats POWER. Thats VICTORY.... You can LIVE THERE., when you believe Right.
Thats FREEDOM, and that is where we are supposed to exist as "walking in the Spirit" "in the Mind of Christ".

Besides a few inaccuracies you are describing the tent of David...or the tabernacle in the wilderness. Being LED by the Spirit. As we are led by the Spirit the world's pull lessens and lessens because we are following close to God. So it's about proximity to God. This is not a perfect walk...one's own cross must be carried daily. But it is a good walk...assuming that one is not lying or exaggerating their walk to claim one is higher than one is.

And they who are LED by the Spirit are not under the law...because of the proximity to Christ. The wilderness walk is a transitional walk. There remains yet to sell all and purchase the kingdom realm in the Spirit to walk there. The cost is EVERYTHING. (Notice the OP never speaks of the cross or the high price to walk in Zion...because he is yet walking in his own power....uncrucified..yet carrying his cross)

And then there is actually entering INTO Christ....into the light. A higher walk. His perfected walk in a crucified man.

--To get to Christ and His location one must be led by the Spirit and carry one's own cross. Following Christ at a certain distance.
--Then for His ownership you are crucified in the outer man to be possessed fully by God...filled with the Spirit.
--The inner man is then freed to grow up into the full stature of Christ...Christ now being FORMED in a man.,
--This is walking in the light...seated (dwelling) in heavenly places in Zion. The kingdom walk.

The one verse that refutes the epitome of what @Behold is saying, every time, is 1 John 1:8.

1Jo 1:8, If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1Jo 1:9, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
