If you don't watch what the scriptures have to portray about life, you can end up in Christianity with Christ in you, and never know how to live life. You know why some Christians have no life? they have never started living it! yes Christians can go a lifetime without life. They may have a church life or religious life or worldly life, but never figure life out. They can never quite put their finger on how Christianity works and consequently life is never worked out of them. That is a sad statement to make about a person that has Christ in them. The only life that exists in scripture for the believer is Christ. Believers do not have a life of their own, you will be hard pressed to find a life seperate from Christ's life as your life, and why would you even want to.

Didn't your old man teach you anything, didn't it show you there was no good thing that comes from the old man. I'm always amazed at how people want to clean up their old man (dead man), it has already been cleaned up at the cross, the only cleaning for the old man was death, Romans 7:1-5, reckon it so the scriptures says, Romans 6:6,11. Believers must believe the scriptures, if they say you are dead you have to believe it, reckon it so, move on in your understanding you have had enough hell trying to make it work and clean up something that doesn't even exsist anymore. It is all an imagination now, cast it down, it's real to you because you still believe you are dealing with your sin nature (old man), you are not dealing with the sin nature, man has told you that. You are dealing with an unrenewed mind, casting down all imaginations the scripture says.

Listen, your mind is going to be your greatest opponent until the day you die, it is imperative you get the upper hand in life over your mind.

I'll show you a very crude as well perfect example of the human mind; you see the Middle East and how dedicated to a cause it can be. That is how the mind works, your mind does the same thing just on a different scale. The mind will always be your battle ground. When Paul uses the little phase "be transformed by the renewing of your mind," Romans 12:2,

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

He is saying! you will never know nothing (concerning the things of God) without mind renewal. Mind renewal is not memorizing scripture, although that may be good, mind renewal is having your mind transformed from the old man syndrome to the new life "in Christ," seeing Christ in you as your life (a revelation of Christ in you, Galatians 1:15-16). How do I have a revelation? First you need to know that a revelation of the indwelling Christ exsists, then you wait on your father, you can pray and so on but it is determined by your father and his timing, so you wait trusting your father to reveal Christ in you at the appointed time, Galatians 4:1-2,

1 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;
2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.

Alot of believers ask is this so? my answer is pray and ask your father and wait, it is not going to bite you, you just wait before your father and see what he does, the answer is always very simple! Not now or Christ is revealed in you, it will be determined by your Father. But regardless you know a revelation exsists so you stay in front of your father until the time appointed.

'Life' is a big subject and big theme for John's Gospel and John's First Epistle.

“knowing this, that our old man was crucified”

The “knowing” (and you called it for what it is, a revelation of this truth opened up in the heart) must come first, or one can reckon themselves dead and will meet failure after failure. For until this revelation comes of our deaths in Christ, one will be reckoning from human understanding of the truth and not from their heart.

“For with the heart man (truly) believes”.

The reckoning that will set a man free from their old man must come from the “knowing” first, (or faith that comes from the heart).

As you brought forth, sitting at the Father’s feet till He opens this truth up in you, is the proper place.

Be blessed in Him, Not me
