Lucid Dreaming and Experimentation on Subjects

I'm posting this because I've heard people say on this forum that they enter into lucid dreams, my advice is to seek God to end those events.

I'm not sure what's going on in some areas of that experimentation on peoples minds, hearts and bodies, but it is suspicious to me and I felt people should be made aware of what is going on in other areas:

Responsible Warning about Lucid Dreams:

I learned before becoming an active Christian how to lucid dream from "Popular Science" and they gave steps and promises about what could happen if I was successful in that attempt. It looked alluring and then I found out the dramatic consequences afterwards. I woke up in my dreams consciously and could not move my body and was terrorized by portions of my dream which was active in my visual surroundings. I learned how to muster up the willpower to awaken to conscious control of my body and force my eyes open to see the real room I was sleeping in. And I regained control of my body. Years after I would have repeat episodes of waking up or being woke up inside dreams with my neck in a lot of pain and head violently shaking painfully and was forced to regain control of my body to awaken.

It was not a pleasant experience and I did see what I thought was Satan in the first dream occurrence. That was many years before I developed schizophrenia.

I figured out how to lucid dream and used it to overcome nightmares when I was a boy. Never had an issue with sleep paralysis. Lucid dreaming is not really necessary for me anymore, and I usually just go with the dream. Since experiencing dreams from the Lord none other is worthy to dread.

Thanks for that news. I did have a lot of problems with that experiment they placed in the 80's in that Popular Science Magazine. Not totally sure why. Glad it didn't impact you poorly :)

One time I remember was about 20 years ago. I dreamed I was walking with my friends across the high school quad, carrying my books, a high school student. And as I was walking along, I realized, wait, I'm a man in his 40's . . . I have a job . . . this is a dream . . . if this is a dream, I can fly, and I launched.

I love flying dreams most of all I think.

I've never set out to have lucid dreams, but I have had a number of times. But not so much in the last 10+ years.

I did fly in my original lucid dream. In other dreams I was in the spirit world at dance parties with loved one's gone and their friends that died. Grandparents and such.

I didn't know what lucid dreaming was, figured it all out on my own. I just had the desire to take control of the nightmares and figured out if I fell asleep with the knowledge that I was sleeping then I could realize that in the dream. Then once realizing it, a certain conscious gesture would allow me to wake up.

I'm sure God can help people in that uncontrollable environment, at least that's how it was for me. I could not control my dream environment, only myself. There was a sword rack, Japanese type, and I was in a castle dungeon.

If I remember correctly I could control the environment but usually did not. Flying in dreams would sometimes feel sluggish.

In my dreams I could fly like Superman! I don't remember trying to control environments, they were always pretty entertaining as they were.

I've long had (since a child) had a very complex and wild dream life. Sometimes dreams would cover weeks of time. I remember a dream were I woke up in my dream I think it was 7 times. By the 5th and 6th time I was telling people in my dream what a crazy dream I just had. When I actually woke up, it was maybe 30 minutes or more before I was convinced I was actually awake.

Fighting alien armies and flying off into space, seeing the earth slagged at Jesus' coming, all kinds of wild things.

Same here. Flying is cool.

I've had the same high school type dream several times.

When I actually woke up, it was maybe 30 minutes or more before I was convinced I was actually awake.

I learned a sure fire way to verify that I am dreaming. When a person is talking to you, look at them and ask them to repeat what they said. I find the "person" always fails that test.

Upon close inspection, "they" are mumbling words that my brain interprets as consistent with the scene.

I have had the flying dreams and pointed such out to my nippers, they have never has such yet that i know of, but they loved the concept that i told.
I have not had such in over 20 years now ! i put it down to being so old !
I had to watch out for the power lines tho ! but could travel far. i think it had to do with being happy ? such dreams did not last long and i would fall to sleep but still remember it somehow.

I will say that i am happy nowadays but in a diffrent way, as i am old, so i can not truly do what i truly want to do in fact, so on that point, that's a downer.

I remember sayings they used to make: "If you dream it you can do it". And also other encouraging phrases a while ago, perhaps 10-30 years or so, which is when the dreams would take place. There were also a lot of songs and media back then about Hollywood and music stars in the spotlight flying in the skies above which is how they saw themselves in the media and social spotlight.

The other motivational message from the radio hosts or media messaging was "If you can imagine it you can achieve it" or "If you can think it you can do it". Things like that.

I often wondered if it was those dark spiritual cities of Babylon, Egypt and Sodom inviting people into without Godly direction towards riches, power and false glory. Sometimes we'd get terrible messages of how they crashed their life experiences "up" there and the media tore them apart as "bad" examples in that spotlight.

And it's as if people could achieve greatness on their own somehow, I know there is the inspiration and influences of God and also Satan. And also perhaps in those spiritual cities that were dark Satan might have been in control of that, deciding who he promoted and who he tried to stop.

I remember the message from the bible regarding that area of motivation:

Notice this is from the KJV: "Genesis 11:6 And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do."

And from the NKJV: "6 And the Lord said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them."

The two translations are slightly different messages, I'm not sure which is correct in that case?

I remember the children's song they used to have us sing along with in the United States: "We've got the whole world in our hands" and the children would all hold hands and sing the song with the teacher or Sunday school church leader. And then a message afterwards would be presented. It was how "we as a social group could affect our surroundings". And for the Christian message it was hope in Christ and also spreading the gospel to people still out there that haven't heard the message of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. I'm not sure what the "non Christians" got out of that message. Hopefully they would come around to God also.

The children's song is still on YouTube I see from doing a search. Which was pleasant for me at least.

I remember dreams that went along fine and ended that, i worked out that it was not right or it went going down the wrong way. never a happy ending so much. just trying to deal with the situation became the real problem.

I have never wanted to be famous, i said if that happened i would bag people directly and want to make people hate me, so i do not have to put up with people idolising me.
Like people who do not know you, think that they know you.

I have a best mate from grade 3 and he is famous, but to me he is just himself as always, period.
people have mentioned him to me just off the cuff, not knowing that he is a good mate of mine. and some do not like him, regarding some BS story. some people want to be introduced to him by me, and i say No ! he does not like to see people like that at all !
He was driving me in his car of late and turning into his home and some total moron parked so he could not get in his driveway and abused the hell out of my mate with total BS trying to play with his mind and making threats to his job ! why, well the bloke was queer for sure. but what could my mate do about morons like that ! if my mate got out and bashed this dude, that's clearly what this idiot wanted !
It's not good when a lot of people think they know you. for they are not worth a cracker in fact and fans will turn on you in no time, fickel as !
So it's best not to encorrage such at all ever !

Then you have the Media to look out for and all of their games
