In my house we make Christmas happen every year.
This year was more difficult than most years. I've been out of work, quarantines keep us from our friends, and special circumstances surrounding everything we do.
I usually just dip the candy in tempered chocolate and call it a day... unconcerned about the feet that develop on the candies. This year due to packaging I had to size them carefully and cut the feet off of every piece.
But we made it happen. It was a struggle but we still had a wonderful Christmas.
We made over 1,300 pieces of candy and 600 cookies. 2 tanks of gas later and all are delivered except for a few.
A few others we know "make Christmas happen" as well.
To us, the delighted looks on faces and wonderment of children unsure if that guy bringing presents is Santa or not is worth everything. It's those unexpected presents that create the Christmas spirit.
Do you "Make Christmas Happen?"
How do you do it?
What do you do?
