if emmanuel means God with us then
satan must also means something it means archenemy right?
so whenever we say satan we meant our absolute nemesis right?

"ha Satan" is Hebrew for "The Accuser". This would be the official who brings accusations against a criminal in a court case. But you are correct; by New Testament times, the name refers to our archenemy.

Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down, the one who accuses them before our God day and night. (Revelation 12:10)

Good topic Stread. Interestingly satan is not named in the Bible, he has a few titles to his credit such as the one you used. satan means literally resistor/opposer and devil means slanderer.

Names are very important to God, and they all have meaning. Sometimes He changes them as He did with Abraham, and Jacob. God's own personal name is extremely important to Him, and occurs more than any other name in the Bible. His name is Jehovah in English. Ps 83:18
