Hello all, I encourage you to take the time and watch this video that explains over two dozen bible prophecies that correlate with a possible coming of 2030. Maybe we can have a discussion.

We could have a discussion, but maybe we *shouldn't?* Foretelling the date of Christ's Return never stops, and was something that Jesus never advocated for. By contrast he told us that times and seasons are the prerogative of God, and that trying to set dates actually distracts us from our present mission.

Nothing wrong with seeing his Coming as near. But the very book of the Bible that speaks of the nearness of his Coming was written 2000 years ago! What does that tell you about "nearness?"

At the time, Jesus said the Jewish temple was about to be destroyed by the Romans, and that the unbelieving Jews were oblivious to this. Therefore, it was imperative to warn them about the nearness of judgment, that his Coming, in a sense, would be more immediately fulfilled in a preliminary, non-eschatological judgment.

In our day, we should be concerned about events of our time, and how they can negatively impact us. It's important to encourage our contemporaries to seek "spiritual designs," so that even in tough times they will have hope in a future resurrection and in the presence of God already available to us, through faith in him.

That being said, I think there is some value in seeing how current events fit into the approach towards the Antichristian Kingdom. We were warned that it is coming, and we were warned to discern this development and to reject all antichrists, in whatever time or place they appear. It is exciting to contemplate the fact we are so close to the end. But we need to keep a perspective, amen?

2Peter 3==
3knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” 5For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, 6by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. 7But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
8But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Amen, but I do believe someone will eventually get it right.

Well yea, that will be when the time actually approaches. We are, after all, encouraged to discern the times. When that time comes we've been given all the clues we need. If we have our head lamp on, we'll recognize evil for what it is, right off the bat! Keep your binoculars nearby. Pretty soon we won't need them--we'll be right at the door step.

Another time setter amongst many re the second coming of Jesus.
Right from the out set an inaccurate assumption by taking Peter's words 'one day equals a thousand years and a thousand years equals one day' out of its context.
Peter was saying in his statement that time is an irrelevancy in God's reality because he is eternal. He is not making this statement for the purpose of establishing a hidden secret about the Messiahs return .....that conclusion is a distortion of Peter's intention.
