Shalom, shilohsfoal.

Sure, I know what the Temple of God is. In Hebrew, it is "beeyt Elohiym" or "house of God," and it SPECIFICALLY refers to the Temple that Shlomo (Solomon) built, and then was rebuilt after the Deportation to Bavel and Medo-Persia, and which was improved upon by Herod the Great. We as a group of people are LIKENED to the Temple as a "house of God" consisting of LIVING stones indwelt by the Ruach haQodesh Elohiym (the Holy Spirit of God), but we are NOT the Temple itself! The Temple proper is said to be rebuilt BY the Mashiach, the Messiah, the Christ, in Ezekiel's prophecy within chapters 40 through 48. Its existence is also alluded to in 2 Thes. 2:3, and in Yeshua`s quote from Psalm 118:22-26 which He quoted in Matthew 23:39.

Sorry, but again, Dani'el 11 is NOT about ANYONE in the present!!!

Well, long ago, you were MISLED about this chapter coinciding with "revelations." (I think you mean, "Revelation," the name of the book of prophecy in the NT, which is short for the "The Revelation of Jesus Christ which God gave unto him to show unto his servants which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John...." It is the SINGULAR "Revelation" or "Uncovering" of the Messiah Yeshua` when He returns.) In Dani'el's book, the prophecy given to him by the "one like the appearance of a man" who began speaking in chapter 10, verse 19, is well documented as to whom this chapter is about: "Darius the Mede" (vs. 1), "three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than they all" (vs. 2), "the realm of Grecia" (vs. 2), "a mighty king...his kingdom shall be broken, and shall be divided toweard the four winds of heaven" (Alexander the Great, vss. 3-4), "the king of the south" (Ptolemy, vs. 5), "the king of the north" (Seleucus, vs. 6), and those are "north" and "south" with respect to the Land of Isra'el. "Egypt" is so named in vs. 8. These should be enough for you to understand that this chapter is NOT about the present; it was about the PAST, particularly after Dani'el and before the first arrival of the Messiah.

Whoever told you that this was about the same things as the book of Revelation is LIED TO YOU!!!

Here are a couple of fellas who think just like you.

.
Mathew 26;60-61
But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses,And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days

If you believe God dwells in temples made with hands then you cant be very close to God.

Shalom, shilohsfoal.

And, you have no concept of the complexity of Scripture. Don't you understand the need for the Temple at all?

1 Kings 8:22-34
22 And Solomon stood before the altar of the Lord in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven:
23 And he said, LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keepest covenant and mercy with thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart:
24 Who hast kept with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him: thou spakest also with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day.
25 Therefore now, LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; so that thy children take heed to their way, that they walk before me as thou hast walked before me.
26 And now, O God of Israel, let thy word, I pray thee, be verified, which thou spakest unto thy servant David my father.
27 But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded?
28 Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee to day:
29 That thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place.
30 And hearken thou to the supplication of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place: and hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place: and when thou hearest, forgive.
31 If any man trespass against his neighbour, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and the oath come before thine altar in this house:
32 Then hear thou in heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, condemning the wicked, to bring his way upon his head; and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.
33 When thy people Israel be smitten down before the enemy, because they have sinned against thee, and shall turn again to thee, and confess thy name, and pray, and make supplication unto thee in this house:
34 Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring them again unto the land which thou gavest unto their fathers.
KJV

The Temple of Shlomo was NEVER to be a place "where God dwells!" That's a false concept, and it is against THAT concept that the verse you quoted was said!

Isaiah 56:1-8
1 Thus saith the Lord, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.
3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the Lord, speak, saying, The Lord hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
4 For thus saith the Lord unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;
5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the Lord, to serve him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
8 The Lord God which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.
KJV

Matt 21:12-14
12 And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,
13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.
14 And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.
KJV

Mark 11:15-18
15 And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;
16 And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.
17 And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.
18 And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.
KJV

Luke 19:45-48
45 And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought;
46 Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves.
47 And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,
48 And could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.
KJV

Mark 14:57-59
57 And there arose certain, and bare false witness against him, saying,
58 We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.
59 But neither so did their witness agree together.
KJV

Stephen said,

Acts 7:44-53
44 Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking unto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen.
45 Which also our fathers that came after brought in with Jesus (Joshua) into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drave out before the face of our fathers, unto the days of David;
46 Who found favour before God, and desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob.
47 But Solomon built him an house.
48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,
49 Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?
50 Hath not my hand made all these things?
51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:
53 Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.
KJV

Stephen was saying that they were RESISTING the Ruach haQodesh by treating the "house" as a dwelling place instead of a place to PRAY!!!

Paul said to the Athenians,

Acts 17:22-31
22 Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.
23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN God. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.
24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.
30 And the times of this ignorance God winked (winced) at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
KJV

Hebrews 8:1-9:15
8:1 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.
3 For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.
4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:
5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator (a go-between; an intercessor) of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.
8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour (i.e., Gentiles), and every man his brother (i.e., other Jews/Isra'elites), saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
9:1 Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.
2 For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.
3 And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;
4 Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;
5 And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.
6 Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.
7 But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:
8 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:
9 Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;
10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.
11 But Christ being come (becoming) an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
15 And for this cause he is the mediator (a go-between; an intercessor) of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
KJV

The heavens (the sky or the atmosphere) nor the heaven of heavens (the sky of the sky, the sky of the atmosphere, or outer space) cannot contain HIM! No building - and that includes the temple of "living stones" - can contain Him! It was a FOCAL POINT for all people! It was a place where they could PRAY! It was a place where all the children of Isra'el - all of the progeny of the man Isra'el, once known as Ya`aqov or Jacob - could meet together and in unity PRAY to YHWH, the God of gods, the God of the Universe, El Elyon!

It's not about a Temple here or a Temple up in "Heaven" or a Temple within us; it's about PRAYER!!!

Have you ever noticed that in the "House of God," there are no chairs or beds?! It's not a place to LIVE; it's a place to MEET! It's a MEMORIAL, a MUSEUM, in the original sense of that word - a place to MUSE over things, to THINK, to MEDITATE, to PONDER, to CONTEMPLATE, to REMEMBER! And, that will be the purpose for a new Temple as described in Ezekiel.

I know you think this verse refers to Jerusalem, and the final babylon does refer to Jerusalem, but I can't get over the Denver, CO/ Rocky Mtn connection. Jerusalem persecutes the Jews, the US persecutes Christians.

Look at the White Horse prophecy again: from wikipedia

This "going to the Rocky Mtns" dovetails nicely with the "Denver as capital of the North American Union/ NWO" idea. And if you look at the CO state seal, you'll see the pyramid eye, which isn't on any other state seal.

And from Jeremiah 50:
From verse 7 we see that Babylon thinks that it is Christian, and is killing Christians that "have sinned against (their) God". The only group that would do these kind of shenanigans would be the Dominionists - who want to "reclaim the 7 mountains" http://www.reclaim7mountains.com/ (a reference to the whore of Babylon that sits on 7 mountains/ Rev. 17)

Clearly, the picture that is coming together is an (anti)- Christian theocracy in the US based out of Denver in association with Mormonism and Mitt Romney. The US would be the 4th beast with 10 horns that brings one of the antichrists to power - the US goes into Martial law for the 5 months of Trumpet 5, and the 10 FEMA states go into effect on 5-21-13. He would then be given "authority to continue for 1260 days", which takes us to the next election, 11-1-16.

You belioeve that someone should listen to you if you speak much.The simple fact is the temple that you claim to be the temple of God is not God's temple.You have a truly carnel mind.God does not dwell in temples made wit hands.

Dismas.
Its not the christians in the US that is persecuted and killed.
It is the christians in Israel.
Mathew 23;34
Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:

These christians will not have gone over all the cities of Israel till Jesus comes.

Mathew 10;23
But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come

Mitt Romney is the false propet but he is not the beast.
He supports the beast=the israeli goverment.

Shalom, shilohsfoal.

I said all of about 13 lines. All the rest were Scripture. If you don't like the length of my posts, take it up with the Boss!

And, as usual, you weren't listening (or reading). The Temple that I claim is the Temple of God, namely that Temple foretold in Ezekiel and other places, IS INDEED the Temple because that is what Ezekiel called it!!! And, just WHO do you think you are to say that I have a "truly carnel (ahem... it's 'carnal') mind"? You have some nerve, buddy, saying that about a fellow believer who also has the SPIRIT OF THE LIVING GOD INDWELLING HIM! SHAME ON YOU!!! As Micha'el said to haSatan, "The LORD rebuke thee!"

Remember Yeshua`s warning:

Matthew 25:40
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

I don't think Obama stole it, I think he bought it :)

I think Romney was right about his comment; "47% aren't going to vote for me no matter what".

LOL! I laughed in SPITE of how true it is! (or was it "BECAUSE of how true it is"?) It's so tragic, it's laughable. It's laughable because otherwise I'd be crying, weeping uncontrollably!

Shouldn't a good parent teach his children, "You can't buy that, honey, because you don't have enough money"? So WHO taught THESE people?

Obama has a ring that says there is no other god than allah. He spouts an un-Christian motto that there are many ways to God.

Obama is the racist. He is an evil man.

There are just too many instances of Obama doing and saying things no Christian would ever dream of doing or saying, but which would be normal utterances or behaviors for a Muslim. Supposedly he’s been a Christian for what – at least 15 years? – yet his public actions consistently dispute such a notion.

He refused to speak in the presence of a cross; it had to be hidden beneath a cloth.

In another speech he sarcastically wondered hypothetically which religious lesson might be considered to be incorporated into governing, and very snarkily cited several Old Testament battle/brimstone verses. He was clearly amused by his ridicule of Jews’ and Christians’ holy book.

His wife does not travel with him when he goes to a Muslim country [Egypt, Turkey]

He doesn’t refer to Iran as “Iran”; it’s always “the Islamic Republic of Iran”

He doesn’t refer to the Koran as “the Koran”; it’s always “the Holy Koran”

In his Cairo speech he said “I have KNOWN Islam on three continents before coming to the region where it was first REVEALED”. You can observe a religion; to “know” it, you must belong to it. And ONLY a Muslim is going to describe Islam as having been “revealed”.

In the Cairo speech he also said, “…many Muslims recognize that Israel WILL NOT GO AWAY.” That terminology would only be used by someone with a hate-Israel mindset – not by a Christian. Loyalty to Israel is part of Christian life, and is non-negotiable. Genesis 12:3

Still Cairo: “American are ready to join with citizens & governments, community orgs, religious leaders, & businesses in Muslim communities around the world to help OUR PEOPLE pursue a better life.” “Our people” – he’s including himself – can only mean Muslims as most Americans already have the best life possible.

And he said, “The Holy Koran teaches that whoever kills an innocent, it is as if he has killed all mankind, and whoever saves a person, it is as if he has saved all mankind.” His audience was Muslims, so they know “the rest of the story”, which is that this “all mankind” in the Koran refers to believing Muslims only. Jews and Christians are never referred to collectively with Muslims.

And, “…in the United States, rules on charitable giving have made it harder for Muslims to fulfill their religious obligation. That is why I am committed to working with American Muslims to ensure that they can fulfill zakat.” Those pesky rules on charitable giving are in place to prevent Muslims’ ‘charitable giving’ money being used to fund terrorists. How unfair to Muslims!! Barry will fix it.

Cairo, again: “…Holy Land…a place for all of the children of Abraham to mingle peacefully together as in the story of Isra, when Moses, Jesus, and Mohammed (peace be upon them) joined in prayer.” Whoa! How come Barry the Christian is telling a story invented by the Muslims in an attempt to make out like Jesus and Mohammed were best buds? And how come Barry the Christian is saying “peace be upon them”? For Muslims, some things are reflexive – like saying “peace be upon…” whenever they utter the name of Mohammed. Oooopsie!

Most telling is the New York Times article from several years ago, where the interviewer reported that Barry had recited the Muslim call to prayer in a “near-perfect” accent. That would be in Arabic. And that would be something Barry supposedly hadn’t heard since he’s left Indonesia 25 (appx) years before. But, but, but…he TOLD us he was never a Muslim. Oh, wait – that was before he told us he was a little bit Muslim, for a little bit. And he also told the Times’ reporter he considered the Muslim call to prayer one of the most beautiful sounds on earth.

It could be confusing – except that it’s obvious he’s been a Muslim all his life. And that he’s a liar of the first magnitude.

I should have known better than to kick a bee hive.
I've made my opinion about following Christ as opposed to believing one evil is lesser than another.

Sorry to have disturbed your nest.
For the record I haven't read nor "ever seen" evidence any where else but on political pundit news and sites.

To be honest I can't stand lowering myself to even consider this is the work of the Lord. This is the trap.
And I'm leaving now, before I get pounced on from every side.

Until President Barack Obama states that he is a muslim I will believe it. But I do not feel that there has been any evidence presented to support such ignorant and racist ideology and reasoning!

Hi Gypsy,

You said:'

Do you honestly believe because the media reported that he was eating pork, that that means it is true? Get real, for all you know that report of him eating pig may have been chicken or beef. Were you there to taste test the meat? Don't believe everything the media tells you.

First of all...it was a joke. Secondly, do you honestly believe because the RW media reported he is a Muslim that it makes it so? Did you see him attending a mosque on a regular basis? Were you there when he pulled out his prayer rug and faced Mecca? Did you see the Qur'an he used to take the oath of office?

Here's my comment in another thread as a reply to those of you that insist Obama is a Muslim.

This I can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt
Let me do the math for you.
+ If you are willing to extend grace to Romney because of his different Jesus
+ You must extend the same grace to Obama
= which leaves a sum of two, equal candidates from a christian perspective
1 It's a political choice
1 or it might be a racist choice.
---
2 ======or it might just be about money

No matter what that adds up to in your mind and heart it stills falls way short of Christ.
To use that math to promote or defend Christianity is foolishness

And please don't pull the law gun. The law never saved you and it will never save the lost.
The law saved us threw the perfect keeping of it in Christ.

examine your heart you can't be angry for your faith.
That leaves your anger to these three

1 It's a political choice
2 it might just be about money
3 it might be a racist choice.

There is no holy ground here to stand on.

Hi Gypsy,

You said:

Didn't sound like it, but OK!

"Secondly, do you honestly believe because the RW media reported he is a Muslim that it makes it so?"

No, I do not. I honestly don't care if it is left wing or right wing media, they are both corrupt. Our eyes and ears should be what guides us, not the media. I have no allegiance to Democrats or Republicans.

"Did you see him attending a mosque on a regular basis? Were you there when he pulled out his prayer rug and faced Mecca? Did you see the Qur'an he used to take the oath of office?"

No, and that's my point. Just because the media said he ate pig, does not make it so. He could very well be a closet Muslim. Just because I have never seen him face Mecca, pull out a prayer rug and use a Qur'an to take the oath of office doesn't mean he doesn't. Besides, that could have just as easily been the Qur'an that he placed his hand on the second time he took the oath in 2008. We'll never know. That being said, no one knows for sure what he is. Obama is all over the place. I prefer to gather what I do see with my own eyes and what I hear him say with my own ears and put it into my mental folder. Personally, he is just a pawn doing his job like all those before him. Each adding a block to the Tower of Babel.
