The television show "Modern Family" doesn't seem to portray a real modern family. I did try to watch it when it when it came out in Australia, but I was sorely disappointed. I can't grasp the mentality around a family who love gossiping and backstabbing each other (And everone else) Mind you that I grew up in the 80's watching all the popular American television shows, like ALF, Punky Brewster, Family Ties, Who's the boss. Those television shows and many like them had something you could learn about life. Unlike "Modern Family" which IMHO has nothing to teach about life, except maybe learn how to be a terrible human being.

Someone has said that the North American media (I know you are in Australia) is - in its way - as distorted as the Soviet media was.

I don't know, I've never watched television in Russia. I'd compare Australian television to the Aussie phrase "She'd be right mate"

I haven't seen it, and from what you've said, I don't think I need to.

I grew up on Ozzie and Harriet, Father Knows Best, The Courtship of Eddie's Father, Family Affair, like that.

That Sounds like the works of Cultural Marxism to me, that's in the detail of such workings.
Our Schools peddle indoctrination, not education.

I remember I had an argument with a teacher in grade 9 and she was yelling at me that Socialism is coming regardless ! she was demanding, standing over all attitude that is typical of all socialist. I got an education by my grand dad on the subject of Socialism as he went through the Nazis occupation of Denmark, he seen it's workings first hand and all, I came against lies taught in school from grade 6 and I had a go at the teachers for dribbling on with half baked nonsense at times. in the 1980's and on my brother and I would hear the media on the radio claim that they only just found out certain X, Y and Z truths about WW2, we would look at each other and remember old grand dad pointed that out to all in the 60's. then when I talked to high rank Aussie defence force people through out the years who served in WW2 they all said that they knew we were being taught half baked dribble at school as to WW2 and they were not happy about such. we also had the president of the RSL Bruce Ruxton being attacked 24/7 by the media trying to make him out to be a fool and the Marxist were attacking him full on.
