20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. - Galatians 2:20.
What is lost when you mix law and grace? It's very simple because the scriptures bear it out plainly! you loose the pure unadulterated word of God. You loose the truth of law, but more so dear friend you loose out on knowing and understanding grace at it's purest form that the scriptures bring across to believers. Why pure grace? There is no life without it. You cannot have life or preach life and in the next line say a believer needs to do something to make it all work. You know what kind of preaching that is? It is coming from the imagination of the one purporting it.
Commingling law and grace has side effects way worse than living in the world for believers. You would be better off to never hear the mixture than to hear a perverted gospel (other than heaven), because you will absultely have no life in this world. What is the curse Paul talks about? The curse is not knowing. You cannot know the true certified gospel if you are not hearing the true certified gospel. You know why Paul said don't mess with those that preach Christ with contention? Because people get born again but he also rebukes them for being ignorant.
Have you given much thought to why people want out of this place. I know I have sought to escape, this world can converge on a believer and the whole weight of the world has to be carried. So why do people want out? We will pray come quickly Lord Jesus! It is the mind, I won't say it is all in the mind but it is a mind that is mixing law and grace. You will get out soon enough according to scripture (life is a vapor) but in the mean time you are in the world and in this world if you have no life you are history. You will struggle along hoping for something (we don't even know what) to happen to make you fit in and feel at ease or home.
You can go on and on about the world and Christian's living in the world but the best summation is; without the knowing of the pure grace of God (which is Christ in you) there will be no life. No life for a believer in this world is the most miserable unfulfilled existence that can be known to mankind. You cannot continually walk around with Christ in you and not know it and try to put life together or whatever it is you are doing. There is consequences, it is like any other rule or law principle a price has to be paid. So what do we want to do? We pray for a rapture to take place or some kind of escape. Hey I'm on board myself but as long as I'm alive I'm going to live by the life that is in me to the best of my ability which is not real good sometime, but you get up and go again try again you never give up.
I have had a couple death sentences pronounced over me physically due to sickness. One my mind was in a different place so to speak and it played many games with my head. Now the second time I was able, thank God, to see through it to what life is. I don't want to admit it but it was a relief to know I was minutes maybe seconds away from what I had looked at all my born again days! That is a street that is paved in gold but more than that I was going to be with my father and that was exuberating. Dieing for me was no fun it hurt, I don't know about other's experience but mine wasn't pleasant but my mind is what I noticed was inline like any renewal that I may have had came into being. My mind worked automatic, you know the spontaneous living we have talked about before comes to fruition.
You have Christ in you as your only life and that life has to be lived if there is to be life for you in this world. Bless you!
