I have been saying this all along, but now conservative Michelle Malkin has expressed her frustration with Trump's empty rhetoric. Mr. Trump has betrayed his supporters and his own agenda, indeed sabotaged himself:

Exclusive–Michelle Malkin to Trump: No More ‘Empty Threats’ on Immigration, Border

President Trump must use his executive powers to take action on the soaring levels of illegal and unchecked immigration to the United States rather than delivering “empty threats,” columnist Michelle Malkin says.

In an exclusive interview with SiriusXM Patriot’s Breitbart News Daily, Malkin said Trump’s threats to close the U.S.-Mexico border to stop illegal immigration must be backed up with action, not just rhetoric.

Malkin said:

I don’t want to hear empty threats anymore about how he’s going to do what he should have done many, many, many months ago. The fact that you have a massive number now of … strangers bringing in children, tells you that the very magnet that he says he understands is causing this. The failure to just go ahead executively and fix the asylum system, proves him right on that and yet he’s not doing what he can do as president with his executive authority. [Emphasis added]

“What are you waiting for,” Malkin asked Trump. “Do it.”

Malkin said Trump should have the military at the southern border, asking rhetorically “Does he believe his own rhetoric or not?”

More blame for the levels of illegal immigration the country is currently experiencing should be placed with elected Republicans, Malkin said, who failed to take any action on immigration while controlling the House and Senate for the first two years of Trump’s term.

“Faux pro-borders Republicans … deserve a heck of a lot more scrutiny and condemnation for putting us in the situation that we’re in,” Malkin said.

Trump, Malkin said, must be vigilant in changing immigration policy and statute:

Here’s my fear, is that you know the conventional establishment talking point this week on immigration — even as these hordes of people are coming in unprecedented numbers — is ‘Oh, we got a few billion from the Pentagon for the fencing.’ And it just lulls the base into this false sense of hope that something is being done when we could have Congresspeople in Washington, themselves, putting pressure on Trump to exercise his inherent executive authority to actually do more than just put a few more dozen miles of physical barriers. And I’m not saying that we don’t need [a wall] but what needs to happen is that the policies need to change. [Emphasis added]

  • As Breitbart News has chronicled, the U.S. is set to admit anywhere between one to 1.5 million illegal aliens this year. The Trump administration’s most recent expansion of the Catch and Release policy has resulted in the release of about 24,000 border crossers and illegal aliens in just two weeks. Simultaneously, experts project that at the current rate of illegal immigration, up to 500,000 illegal aliens could successfully cross into the country this year, undetected by Border Patrol.

Republican voters rank deporting illegal aliens and ending illegal immigration as their top priority to ensure a better quality of life for themselves and their middle class families, the latest Pew Research Center survey revealed.

Trump has done his best to get Congress to do this right. But, they refuse to do anything to help, in any way, about the border situation. (Which they created with the laws they passed) Do you want a dictator who decides he, alone, is the ruling factor in governing?

The executive authority of the President is extensive but not dictatorial. No matter how much Congress opposed him, Trump had the Constitutional powers, as well as the administrative resources, to ensure that immediately after he took office, border security (national security) would be his top priority, and that he would bring all resources to bear. No one could have stopped him had he handled this lawfully and with total determination. But empty rhetoric is all that we have heard.

I am convinced that had he been really serious, a serious wall would have ALREADY been in place all along the southern border (within that two year-span). No migrant caravans or illegals could have breached a serious wall (which took into account all the underground tunnels of the cartels, and totally destroyed them). A serious wall would have drones overhead patrolling the southern border completely, and reporting attempted breaches to those who would take immediate action.

Massively breaching the borders of any country is AN ACT OF WAR. And that is what migrant caravans have declared. Violating borders to introduce massive amounts of illegal narcotics is also an act of war by the cartels which control Mexico and Central America. Bringing illegal aliens into any country using coyotes is also an act of war, since many of them are subverting the laws and the safety and security of the citizens. Trump made a big deal out of MS-13 gang members entering the USA illegally, but now his catch-and-release program is worse than Obama's.

I'm afraid I can't agree with where the blame is placed in this. Trump has tried many extreme measures, and every time, Congress curtails his efforts by jamming every action of his into the 9th judicial Liberal sewer.

And you know what. Trump could put out an Executive Order that all court rulings which oppose national security and support illegal immigration are illegal (which they are) and must be ignored!

If necessary that matter would go to the Supreme Court. But the liberal judges would know that they are interfering with administrative matters, and back off if the President used his Constitutional powers and also addressed the nation properly, and in great detail, about the laws of the land.

Now there is a border crisis because of Mr. Trump, not Congress
(who can also do nothing to stop national security matters). Congress members could also be impeached for attempting to violate the laws of the land, or support their violation through their actions.

How how did Trump cause the border problem that has been going on for decades?

It is gotten worse lately because cartels and illegals are afraid he's actually doing something about it.

Most assuredly something could be done about it. In example many countries are building walls and they are very effective.

Ask Israel.

Trump cannot override the court by executive action.

Impeached by who? Themselves?

Way to get them out is the way they were put in. The ballot box.
