I've been a believer walking with our Lord for over six years now, and in these years I have come to understand the requirements - selfless dedication, living a holy sacrifice, faith and walking in the will and by the Word of God. I am 27 years old and in the course of my walk I have been sharing the gospel with a person who comes from a heathen family - Hindu to be precise. Over the period of our communication, we saw each other as the one we would want to see as our life partners. In my country India, caste and religion plays a crucial and so despite she being a born-again believer in Jesus Christ, she now faces threats for the choices she has made. She expressed her desire to spend the rest of her life with me. We were praying for this for over three years now.

Currently, the situation is that she is at home, she had to give up her job and she is wrongly being administered psychiatric treatment and being called an incapable person. I was accused of all sorts of things by her people, including being called a liar and brain-washer for encouraging her and also being blamed for influencing her. Also, these lost and heathen people have been bitter and hurtful through it all. Sadly some of them claim to be Christians, but are lost! That makes it even more painful. Even a so called pastor spoke on behalf of the heathens! Both of us believe we could glorify our Lord by our life together. Despite all these hindrances, and our inability to communicate with each other, and the immense hurt and pain, we are holding on in faith.

I come to you in humility asking for your prayer. Please pray for faith, wisdom, direction, guidance and protection in all that happens in the future. This is a long term request. Lord willing the day I get a definite answer, I will accept it with joy praising Him. What we need is His approval and it is our desire to be a testimony of His providence and guidance and faithfulness. We are suffering today, but we believe He will glorify His name through it all. I believe as fellow believers of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ you would understand the gravity of the situation. For her, it's more of a matter of survival. For me it has been draining because of the moments I feel helpless. My mother and pastor and church have also been praying for this matter. Her father was even rude to my pastor. They try being sweet to avoid confrontation, but are very evil deep down inside. I have forgiven despite the hurts I have received, not just for the Lord, but also for her for she is enduring it all to be able to live in a Christian home some day. Please pray for us and God's glory and will in our lives in the future. I'd rather not name her here on a public forum (although in case you feel led to pray, I could share more details with time), but please pray for "me" and "the person I am praying about". Lord willing I look forward to coming back to you in the future to tell you our Lord has answered our prayers. May His Name be glorified in all!

Nash, I read your post after you first made it and I pray you and she will be strengthened.

My favorite verse for new Christians well old as well is

[sup]Philippians1-3[/sup] I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, [sup]4[/sup] always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, [sup]5[/sup] for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, [sup]6[/sup] being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;

Don't leave any piece of gear slip or left behind. And don't forget that, For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,
So don't fight your battle in the strength of the flesh.

The Whole Armor of God

[sup]10[/sup] Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. [sup]11[/sup] Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. [sup]12[/sup] For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,[sup][c][/sup] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. [sup]13[/sup] Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
[sup]14[/sup] Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, [sup]15[/sup] and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; [sup]16[/sup] above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. [sup]17[/sup] And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; [sup]18[/sup] praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— [sup]19[/sup] and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, [sup]20[/sup] for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

You get geared up with your armor and sword know this.

[sup]16[/sup] “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. [sup]17[/sup] But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues. [sup]18[/sup] You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. [sup]19[/sup] But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; [sup]20[/sup] for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.

When we are weak Jesus is strong. I love when I am at the end of my own strength, I've learned not to worry or struggle, but it hard I know with so much on the line. I and you have an advocate, Jesus and the power of Holy Spirit. Walk very carefully and do as the Spirit threw word has taught you, when they unjustly rise against you just enjoy the Spiritual ride. Dont set times don't set goals just set your sight on the Lord. And all these things shall be add unto you.

God bless you, a sling shot, a stone and the hand of the Lord can fall any nation.
Your the tip of the spear now, the Lord doesn't place you their with out intending to use you.
