There is a derogatory term out there called ultra-processed foods. What are ultra processed foods? They cannot really give you a description, they just give some examples. And when you some it up the point is they want you to be a vegetarian.....the nasty vegetables and fruit, lettuce is not so bad but grapefruit and brussel sprouts and cauliflower. If just processing foods would be bad for you 2% milk would be poison. Pasteurized, homogenized and fat reduction....yuck. I was raised on raw milk.

The best thing to happen to the world food supply for safety and nutrition was one, refrigeration and two, canning. To feed the world you have to process food, no way around it. And generally, it not the processing that is the problem, it is the chemicals they add to the food. But they are not concentrating on the chemicals because really the whole campaign is to back you into a corner and feed you lettuce.

I was in Walmart at the deli counter and this lady said to me that the rotisserie chicken was ultra-processed and caused cancer. I chucked and asked, what do you think they do to rotisserie chicken to makes it carcinogenic. She said it is chicken, everyone knows that chicken causes cancer.
There are people that believe that animals products cause cancer or are bad for your health.... any kind of meat, beef, pork, fish, chicken, turkey, milk, cheese.....etc. The vegetarians and animal rights groups have this crazy plot. Cause ya know, cow farts are bad for the environment. Eat lettuce and drive little electric cars.

Best advise eat a variety of meats, vegetables, fruits, pasta, and grains like oatmeal and exercise regularly. I personally recommend multi-vitamins and omega 3 fish oil.

Limit snacks.....I can't. If you look at the ingrediencies in Lay's potato chips, not much there other than potatoes and a little salt. But they say they are bad for you. And that is another thing....too much salt and sugar can eventually harm you.....but too little salt and sugar can kill you today. Statistically the most dangerous thing you can do is be a couch potato, drive small cars, and go to work. I had a friend of mine that use to make his elderly parents smoke outside in the snow when they visited. I invited them over for dinner and watched football with them. And yes I had a cigar and beer with them.

I hear Steak n Shake has started cooking their french fries in beef tallow, which is rendered beef fat. Tastes great. Most of the oils are either bad for you or are potential allergy hazards.

If you want to make a hobby of it, until they get real and start not using chemicals in their foods, raise your own vegetables and can them in glass mason jars.

Be careful of sugar too, all forms.
High fructose, honey, agave, etc.
If I knew back then what I know now,
I would have cut back on Extra Large Extra Cream Extra Sugar Dunkin Donut Coffee.
It was the sugar that brought me down.

I haven't ordered takeout for almost 3 years.
I would love a stuffed crust extra cheese pepperoni pizza.
:D
g'night

Have you looked into a carnivore diet?

It turns out removing all the chemicals they spray on crops now gets rid of a lot of the modern-day health problems.

Well we are basically carnivores.
Chemicals and foods do not generally mix.
