.
The so-called "Old Testament" section of the Bible gets its name from the
covenant by which people associate with God per Exodus, Leviticus,
Numbers, and Deuteronomy.

The so-called "New Testament" section of the Bible gets its name from the
covenant by which people associate with God per Matthew, Mark, Luke, and
John.

There is no difference between the two. In the beginning of the church age there was no new or Old Testaments as we read today. All they had was what was written by the prophets. It is said Christ came in a volume of a book. What that meant was everything the prophets wrote about concerning Christ he fulfilled or will yet fulfill. When the apostles wrote letters to the church to tell them about Christ their information came from scriptures that we call the Old Testament. What we have is the New Testament is from the old. Their one in the same. When people say we are no longer under the old but the new only they haven’t understood.

what is the diffrence???? whats you take on it ? i have only read a little.

At 2 Timothy 3:16, the Apostle Paul stated that "All scripture...beneficial for teaching...." I feel that the accounts in the "Old Testament" gives a clearer understanding of what God's personality is like, what he hates/despises, his merciful forgiveness, promises, and perfect justice and so forth. Does not modern generations rely, consider, consult its own history? Compare: Exodus 17:4; Josiah 1:8; Psalms 1:12; Isaiah 30:8; Acts 17:2, 3, 11; Romans 15:4; Galatians 3:24; 2 Timothy 3:16.

In the OT [Old Testament] people were promised a Messiah to come but for the most part their actions indicate they did not sincerely believe it.

In the NT [New Testament] after the Messiah had actually come, people for the most part by their actions indicate they did not sincerely believe that God had kept His promise.

What was the promise, but to open the Way to Life itself, a way which had been closed since Adam and Eve disobeyed God.

God has never left people without hope, but people essentially have been mostly very foolish, OT and NT following their own ways instead of seeking God's Way.

Listen to Jesus' words:

"No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Matt 6:24

"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." Matt 7:13-14
