Both sound like great plans...

Consecutive reading of the Word brings great rewards in one's understanding of Scripture...
This is true. If I bathe my mind in God's word, I have peace of mind and happiness unknown before. Every time my mind wanders I have something to check my thoughts against and then delete not only the bad ones but also those that might otherwise pass if not for the word.

Ephesians speaks of 'the washing of water by the word'.

So: who has a new year's resolution?:)

Over the decades I have made many. Trouble is, I don't keep any.
I get too ambitious in making them , so I have never kept them.

Because of reading many decades ago about the story in Judges 11
"whatever comes out of the door of my house to meet me when I return in triumph from the Ammonites will be the LORD's, and I will sacrifice it as a burnt offering."
He made a stupid vow, and then his daughter came running out to meet him!! So I have never, never, ever made any vow to the Lord, just to myself. But never been true to myself :D

So, now I don't even bother. :)

My new years resolution is to give these extra ten pounds to the first one that wants it.

Never made one, couldn't see the point... Just makes a rule for you to stumble at and therefore sin against yourself., Just another little trick of the devil.
