News From Home
My brother is traveling back to Australia today and one of the most important things he had to remember while holidaying in NZ, was to collect as many local and regional news papers for his friends before heading back. There are so many Kiwi's living in his area that are desperate to have any news from home. They can of course find the same information on-line but nothing compares to reading through the crisp pages of the local rag from home - good or bad.
We have also had good news sent to us from home which was inspired by men moved by God. The good news recorded in the bible tells us of man's disobedience, God's great love and compassion, his eternal plan of salvation through his son by faith and the promised Holy Spirit which is the guarantee of our redemption.
Isaiah 52:7
How beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”
