I've thought about this a bit, I need to make a few but I'm not sure exactly how I want to quantify some of them quite yet. I'll have to get back to you.

New Year resolutions are interesting in that most that are made are given up very quickly, and there is a sensible reason got that.
A New Year resolution is usually amde to change something in a life; if there are no changes made relating to the new resolution, it will fail.
Example: giving up cigarettes.
Unless you change the people you hang out with, you will be with people who are smoking and you will fall easily.
A resolution to change your prayer life will fail, unless you put yourself into a position where you have the time set aside to pray.
