got this in email:Metro Prayer for December 21, 2007Pray for single parents in the Metro Area during this holiday season. It can be a lonely and a stressful financial time for them. Ask the Lord for extra grace and provision for these families. Also, pray that believers around them would be inspired to bless them at this time.PSalm 134:3 "May the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth, bless you from Zion."(on a side note: pray for my friend Anna who is a single mother comes to know Jesus in her lifePray for opportunities for the gospel to be spread as Christians spend time this Christmas with unbelieving family members. Pray for open doors and anointed moments for seeds to be planted and decisions to be made.—Romans 10:15 How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, " HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!"More than 30 years of studies on how to improve Nebraska's juvenile justice and children's behavioral health systems have failed to produce lasting change, according to a child advocacy group, Voices for Children. The number of children and youths in out-of-home placement or in treatment centers, whether placed there as foster children or through the juvenile justice system, has increased significantly. Some suggestions to improving treatment are: keeping youths in their home communities whenever possible, creating standardized procedures for youth evaluation and placement and increasing the funding and attention to behavioral and emotional problems of youths. Ask the Lord to bring revelation and wisdom to those that work with troubled youth. Also pray for life giving ministries to teens in the Metro area. —Psalm 72:13He will have compassion on the poor and needy, And the lives of the needy he will save.We will be taking a two week break for the holidays. Many blessings to you and your families...Merry Christmas.
