There is nothing we can do to go to heaven, except not be sinning.

There are no amount of good works that get us to heaven, except the good work of not sinning.

There is no amount of loving our neighbor that gets us to heaven, except the good work of stop hating our neighbor.

The only thing we have power to do to go to heaven, which we must do to be in the presence of the Lord when departing this life, is to repent and not be sinning.

And the only way to do so is to repent of sinning and receiving Jesus Christ with His power not to be sinning, which was the same power of God He had on earth not to be sinning.

Jesus did on the cross what we could not: pay the price for sinning.

And we do with our own cross what we can do with Him: not sinning.

If we are sinning, we are of the devil, and not born of God. If we depart this life sinning, we will not wake up in heaven, but find ourselves in hell.

And so, Jesus did what He could do after not sinning on earth, and we must do what we can do with Him and His power: not be sinning on earth.

The flesh and bones of Jesus Christ are doing the only thing they can do to go to heaven: not be sinning for the devil.

The biggest lie of the devil, in order to make believers unrighteous christian sinners, is that Jesus did everything on His cross, so that there is nothing anyone can do to go to His heaven, but only believe the man Jesus died on a cross for our sins.

Jesus died on a cross, because of man sinning for the devil, by crucifying an innocent man by false accusation.

Jesus did not die for our sinning to continue afterward.

Repenting and denying sinning today is believing and obeying Jesus.

Denying we need to not be sinning today is denying the sacrifice and blood of Jesus to pay the price for past sinning, and is denying the power of God to be living godly by not sinning.

Any one denying the power to not be sinning today, is denying the power of Christ within us to do so, and is perverting His sacrifice on His cross into a grace to be saved while sinning against God for the devil.

Since Jesus did what only He could do on His cross, there is now grace of God to help us to do in time of need, what we must to be with Him now and forever in heaven: take up our cross and stop our own sinning for His name's sake.

What are you doing, that makes you more righteous than a Pharisee?

If you're sinning, you're no more righteous than any other sinner on earth, whether Pharisee or Satanist.

That's called not sinning.
Not just, not committing sins, but not leaving undone all that God commands to do.

Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart soul mind strength. Not sinning means loving God with everything you are always. Always, with everything. And love others as Jesus loves. Always. Everyone.

And not just our version, how we define love, but God's version, what He approves. Like Jesus.

No pettiness, no bitterness, no thinking we're better than others, no thinking we have some right to anything. No responding in any unkindness or impatience, no fleshiness at all.

Much love!

Love God and stop sinning for His name's sake.
While this is necessary, the basis of entry into Heaven is not your righteousness but the righteousness of Christ. Unless you and I are clothed in His righteousness -- imputed righteousness -- it will not matter what anyone does or does not do. And God imputes righteousness when He justifies a sinner PURELY BY HIS GRACE and solely on the basis of the finished work of Christ. It is "Christ in you" which is "the hope of glory". The GIFT of God is eternal life (which you failed to mention).

Also, God deals with Christians who persist in sin. See Hebrew 12 and other passages. But no one goes to Heaven based upon their own righteousness.

That is not what Gods Word says! YOu have a works salvation and I deeply fear this passage applies to you:

Galatians 1:6-9
King James Version

6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

If this is the one thing you believe is required for heaven- you are lost.

to get to heaven you have to to ask Jesus into your heart & believe that he has saved you & accept him as your Savior, you must also repent of anything that is wrong in your life & believe that he died for you & rose again

Don't ever believe you have to work for your salvation. The Holy Spirit reveals Jesus to you and then will help you live the Christian life. You do not have to change yourself but allow God to change you - transform you by the renewing of your mind - as the bible says. Of course if you truly love God he will give you good works to do but they are not the foundation of your salvation. The only foundation is the Rock which is Jesus. God's grace and forgiveness are free for the asking and anybody can ask, nobody is too dirty that God can't clean them.

The biggest lie of the devil, in order to make believers unrighteous christian sinners, is that Jesus did everything on His cross, so that there is nothing anyone can do to go to His heaven, but only believe the man Jesus died on a cross for our sins.

John 3:16-18 particularly v 18 those who do not believe are Already condemned.
Salvation is through belief in what Jesus has done.
As Eph 2:8+9 through faith not by works
We cannot do anything to deserve heaven.
1John1:8+9 if we say we have no sin the truth is not in us.

Yes having believed we do not sit down and continue to sin, we must change, but neither does our change gain us anything.

True: sinning includes not doing what we know to do, the truth.

However, no one can be doing the truth, while still sinning against the truth:

For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.

We cannot do the truth of loving one another, if we are still hating God by lusting within the heart for sinning with the devil.

Drunkards, fornicators, idolators, etc... can be quite neighborly.

And so, the only thing we can do thru Christ to be saved with Him, is to stop our sinning against Him first.

Which begins within the heart:

Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

What must we do to be saved? We must repent of sinning to believe Jesus and His gospel: the good news of being washed from our past sins and saved from sinning.

No man sinning is believing Jesus, but is in agreement with the devil:

And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Christ does not dwell in a devil's heart of lusting for sin, nor in any household of sinners sinning with him.

Jesus did not sin with His flesh and bones as a man, and neither does His people sin with His flesh and bones as His temple and body on earth today.

While this is necessary, the basis of entry into Heaven is not your righteousness but the righteousness of Christ.

This is saying what is being taught: first we must stop sinning for the devil against god to be saved, then we do all things well in Christ, as Jesus did with the Father on earth.

And so, our righteous living in Him does not save us, nor keep us saved, Which is only by continuing to guard our purified hearts by resisting the devil, and not be found transgressors again.

We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

Unless you and I are clothed in His righteousness -- imputed righteousness -- it will not matter what anyone does or does not do.

Imputed righteousness is knowledge only: being clothed in white is only by doing His righteousness.

If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

No man is justified and called a righteous friend of God, until they are doing the good work of faith and not sinning against God.

Which begins within the heart:

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

No man unrighteously sinning as a friend of the devil is righteous with God, Whatever may have been imputed by faith is now dead, being faith alone.

And God imputes righteousness when He justifies a sinner PURELY BY HIS GRACE

True, no man is justified by his own works without faith, but only by his works of faith, which is by grace's help alone to resist the devil and not be sinning against God.

We are justified by works of grace through faith, not by works of our own will and righteousness.

The grace of dead faith without works, is not pure and of God, but is dead fool's gold for sinners who like to believe they are saved while sinning against God.

Do you believe any soul while drunkenly fornicating, can possibly be a saved son born of God, and not of the devil?

And God imputes righteousness when He justifies a sinner PURELY BY HIS GRACE and solely on the basis of the finished work of Christ.

False. No man is saved 'solely on the basis' of Jesus dying on the cross, because of man sinning and crucifying Him.

We must first repent and believe Him to do His will.

When Jesus died on the cross, no man on earth was saved, but all were now concluded as sinners by God, whether Jew or Gentile.

Jesus paid the price for sinning, so that when we repent and cease from sinning for His name's sake, our past sins are forgiven, for which price we could not pay for ourselves.

The world is not now saved, 'solely on the basis' of Jesus dying on the cross, though He became the propitiation for the sins of the whole world.

It is "Christ in you" which is "the hope of glory". The GIFT of God is eternal life (which you failed to mention).

Loving God and stop sinning is impossible without the gift of God living within us, which is Christ Jesus, whom we receive with power to stop sinning.

No man sinning has eternal life:

Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

Are you saying, that once having eternal life within us, Christ remains supping within us, even if we sinning for the devil at the same time? So that we are not of the devil, but still saved sons born of God?

Or are you saying the truth, that once Christ lives within us, we have power not to be found sinning with the devil, and so are now doing His righteousness, rather than lusting to sin against Christ?

If you're saying neither, then I don't know what you are talking about, and you'll need to explain it.

Also, God deals with Christians who persist in sin. See Hebrew 12 and other passages. But no one goes to Heaven based upon their own righteousness.

True, the chastening of the Lord is that Jesus let's us go back to sinning with the devil, if we lust to do so, and we will know what it is to be dead and separated from Him by our sinning once again.

The morning after is the same for all sinners on earth, as well as poverty by slothfulness.

We are become dead sinners once again in need of repenting of sinning and believing Him, like every other unsaved unrighteous sinner on earth, whether called christian, jewish, muslim, buddhist, atheist, satanist, new age spiritualist, or just plain old unbelieving natural man.

True, and all at the same time.

Without believing Him, we cannot repent, and without repenting, we are not believing Him.

No man still sinning today for the devil is believing Jesus Christ, nor has recieved Him with power not to be sinning today:

He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

The first great commandment is to repent of lusting for sins of the world, and love God instead with all the purified heart of faith.
