I remember a story my friend told one day during a Sunday church meeting. It was winter and very icy and she had been travelling to the meeting behind a high van which kept dropping shards of ice from its roof as it went along. She wondered why the driver hadn't done anything about it and then realised that it would not have been possible for him to reach it. And she took that as a lesson that some things are too hard for us to do anything about but God can.
