1. Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
OSAS: We're not justified by works, but by faith only.
This is called the bold approach.
For in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Ye shall not surely die.
Like father, like son.
2. Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at all times.
OSAS: That's not possible, we will sin.
This is called the weak approach.
3. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
OSAS: We are counted righteous by faith only.
This is called the imputed approach.
4. The soul that sinneth, it shall die.
OSAS: Not if we're under grace.
This is called the grace approach.
5. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
OSAS: We are all depraved sinners just life everyone else.
This is called the humble approach.
6. To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
OSAS: we're not saints, we're sinners.
This is called the identity approach.
7. For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
OSAS: the letter of the law is now dead, and no more to be obeyed.
This is called the kill approach.
8. Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe.
OSAS: If you think you're sinless and not a sinner, you deceive yourself and are a self-righteous Pharisee.
This is called the accusation approach.
9. My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
OSAS: It's when we sin. Everyone will sin again in the future.
This is called the prophecy approach.
10. Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel.
OSAS: We are all born with the sin nature, except Jesus, and so, unlike Jesus, we all sin by nature.
This is called the natural approach.
And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
This is called the Lord's Revelation response.
