Beautiful Pat. I am now going to do a mini study on "seed" ♥
Thanks Nancy. It might be interesting. Please share what you discover. One thing I heard ages ago that there are some seeds that are drought resistant and stay dormant on the earth until rain eventually causes them to germinate.

I suppose those are pretty tough seeds!
I just found this: Desert Plant Survival - DesertUSA
Speaks to the drought resistant seeds...interesting! I wonder if there is also a spiritual connection to these resistant seeds...Hmm. I am thinking there is ;)

Even the wind, water, and animals sow, if you think about it, oh yeah, and bees too...which we are now in short supply of :(. I just read on a site about seeds always having embryos and of course, the protective "skin" covering. And, it all has to do with reproduction! Everything. There is good and bad seed, yes?

In Genesis 1:11 God says “Let the earth bring forth grass yielding seed”.
It is even spoken of in the 1st chapter of Genesis!
Everything "after it's own kind". So much scripture on this...

And so many seeds are food too. Like apples, grapes, grain etc....

I learned that some seeds that were left by the Ancient Egyptians in a pyramid, were planted and they indeed germinated. :) (Picture of the power of the Word of God...Isaiah 55.11)

SEND DOWN YOUR RAIN

Send down your rain upon me Father;
Cleanse; revive; restore; renew.
Give my needy soul refreshment
And draw me deeper into you.

Send down your fire upon me Father;
Purify me in his flame.
Refine me till I am as pure gold,
And glorify your holy name.

Send down your breath upon me Father;
Re-awake my dormant heart.
Fill me with your Holy Spirit;
Of Christ’s body, I’m a part.

Send down your peace upon me Father;
Gentle as the morning dew.
Softly speak into the stillness
As I wait to hear from you.

Hear your servant’s fervent prayer Lord;
Empower me; fortify; renew.
Give me wings to soar like the eagle
And do what you would have me do.

For you are my Heavenly Father
And I love to worship you;
Bringing praises and thanksgiving
To my God who’s always true.

Beautiful Pat...it just brought comfort to me...you write so well! Think I might give this a go at, see what God draws from my own heart.

Okay, I gave it a go!!! I stink at poetry! Lol.

Many years ago for some reason our family wrote letters to each other in rhyme .
( we are scattered all over the globe )
My dad started it first I think...then we all followed him...it was fun at the time. :)

In his life time my dad wrote over 3000 poems some 7 pages long ( which I didn't like much) He started writing at at 17...the last 6 years were all faith based ones. I have them all in binders.

The thing is to just listen to the Holy Spirit. Often these poems come just a line at a time. I write it down and just wait. And I'm always amazed and surprised by the result. Glad to share and peased if it blesses.

My granddaughter Aimee writes poems too. She is on You tube. I may have shared before so sorry if it's a repeat.

It always blesses, you have that gift. My brain is like a circus, so difficult to focus for very long though I try daily and pray for it all the time. BUT...I'll try what you said and see what He brings to me.

"God of creation
There at the start
Before the beginning of time
With no point of reference
You spoke to the dark
And fleshed out the wonder of light

And as You speak
A hundred billion galaxies are born
In the vapor of Your breath the planets form
If the stars were made to worship so will I
I can see Your heart in everything You've made
Every burning star a signal fire of grace
If creation sings Your praises so will I
So will I

God of Your promise
You don't speak in vain
No syllable empty or void
For once You have spoken
All nature and science follow the sound of Your voice

And as You speak
A hundred billion creatures catch Your breath
Evolving in pursuit of what You said
If it all reveals Your nature so will I
I can see Your heart in everything You say
Every painted sky a canvas of Your grace
If creation still obeys You so will I
So will I

If the stars were made to worship so will I
If the mountains bow in reverence so will I
If the oceans roar Your greatness so will I
For if everything exists to lift You high so will I
If the wind goes where You send it so will I
If the rocks cry out in silence so will I
If the sum of all our praises still falls shy
Then we'll sing again a hundred billion times, whoa

God of salvation
You chased down my heart
Through all of my failure and pride
On a hill You created
The light of the world
Abandoned in darkness to die

And as You speak
A hundred billion failures disappear
Where You lost Your life so I could find it here
If You left the grave behind You so will I
I can see Your heart in everything You've done
Every part designed in a work of art called love
If You gladly chose surrender so will I
I can see Your heart
Eight billion different ways
Every precious one
A child You died to save
If You gave Your life to love them so will I

Like You would again a hundred billion times
But what measure could amount to Your desire
You're the One who never leaves the one behind"
