Let us write together poems of praise to God!!!! I have a few here... I normally don't title them.

A Grateful Heart

I thought I'd start over...
I share my heart
My heart is gracious to my Father.
He sent His Son Jesus for you and me
Jesus lived a sinless, humble life for you and me
Jesus was beaten and died on a cross for you and me
Three days later, He conquered death.
He rose from the grave for you and me

Because of Jesus I live
Because of Jesus I have joy
Because of Jesus I have peace
Because of Jesus, I have Holy Spirit
Because of Jesus, I really know love

My heart sings praises to my King
In sunshine and rain I praise His name

In the evening I will pray
I will sing to You
I will praise Your Name
You are Holy
You are amazing God
You take away all my fear
You give perfect love instead
I can rest in Your presence
Your presence gives life and peace
As Your Word says,
In Your presence is fullness of joy

I do not know what is right sometimes
What I do know is Your Word, God
I know Your Word heals and brings life
Your Word speaks of abundant life
You say Your yoke is easy
Your burden is light
In You I find rest for my soul
I come this morning grateful
You are so, so good
As one song says, You are good
A good Father, it is who You are
I would be nowhere without You
You are my lifesong
You are my reason for living
You are my reason to keep going
My eyes are on You
I trust You today and forever

I am never alone
You go with me with Your mighty hand
My God gives me courage
My God gives me strength
He is my strong tower
He is my refuge
I am thankful for Your Word
I abide in Your Word and I prosper
Thank You for Your goodness
Thank You for Your mercy and grace
But most of all
Thank You for Your unfailing love

His mercies are new every single day
Every Morning, His Word does say
It is a blessing to lay things down
At His feet, He gives me, a Holy white gown
He washed my hands of guilt and shame
He calls me His in Jesus Mighty Name
He fills me with His Spirit strong,
That as an offering, I can sing my Life song
Every part of me cries Holy
He is my life and testimony

Awwww.... Well I think I should have posting them in this spot all along. Haiku kinda broke my writer's block. Lots of praises there too if you want to take a look and write some too. Several others started posting also.

At least they turned into more praises as time went on. It is interesting reading back and seeing the change. Know what I think it is? Encouraging scripture thread... I think y'all showed me a thing or two on how praising the Lord just transforms the heart.

When my eyes are focused on You Lord,
Everything else slowly just fades away
I find myself walking on water,
into Your loving arms
The storm may rage, but I am unaware
I see Your pierced hands and feet
I hear Your Words pouring from Your lips
You call me by my name
I bow before You in Your glory and splendor
You are King of all Kings
You are Lord of Lords
You not only give Life, but You are Love
Praise You for Your lovingkindnes
Praise You for Your grace and mercy
Praise You for all You have done and will do

BEAUTIFUL FOR MY KING

I am being made beautiful for my king.
He has been preparing me for his courts
For many years.
He looks upon me and is delighted
With what he sees.
He hears every whisper I speak;
Every breath I take
And every beat of my heart.
He has given me my identity;
I am like no other – unique.
He desires a greater intimacy with me;
A joining of hearts.
He requires me to be an inspiration;
A shining light in the dark corners of this world.
He longs for me to have an influence
In the lives of the lost.
He has placed me here;
In this time and place
To be beautiful for him;
To make a difference.

I just found that one . I am always cautious , due to so many newer singers are going down the wrong path .
But THIS SONG was GOOD . Yep , my soul was fat and happy to hear it .

THE SPIRIT

It can’t be locked, it can’t be tamed
or pushed into a mold
the spirit, like the wind is wild
it will not be cajoled

He’ll testify to me one says
and show you things to come
and so it is that those imbued
will glorify the Son

The harvest’s ripe so lift your heads
the people begging feeding
life giving bread to satisfy
their lost and desperate needing

The focus on my altered life
is mostly self-absorption
the tune I know so well is sung
I’m overcome with boredom

Now there’s the resurrected one
to him there is no equal
God come to earth in mortal form
we’re waiting for the sequel

We’re going some direction
revealed by how we fare
in whom we introduce to folk
somebody’s stamp we bear.
