Now, much older with some physical issues, including in my left hand. So typing is a major frustration and extremely slow.
The solution? Voice to text. Software
It is free on Windows 10. There are some free third-party programs as well. But many the chrome browser which I will not do for security reasons.
So if your in that boat and have a reasonably decent microphone or headset, give it a shot. But be warned there is a learning curve.
The best program I know is Dragon. But, the price tag of $150 is intimidating.
