I’ve been thinking a lot about psalm 107. Regardless of whether we agree or disagree on theology…hopefully there is one thing the Psalm shows and that is Who delivers out of trouble and distress. Hopefully it shows whom we should turn to in times of trouble and distress: who's lovingkindness and mercy is everlasting. For if He has redeemed any from their distress and trouble; let those redeemed say His lovingkindness IS everlasting. Instead of copy-n-paste I’ve summarized what this Psalm says to me (right or wrong); to share and give thanks to the HOPE found in the One that says repeatedly; He has helped in times of distress and trouble. One thing we can agree on maybe is; in times of distress, darkness, toil, grief, or trouble …He IS Faithful; His lovingkindness everlasting.
Psalm 107:1-2 O Give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good. His loving-kindness
IS everlasting. let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy..
Regardless of one’s theology on who the bride is surely whoever the bride is she has been redeemed of the LORD, so regardless of who She is (the bride), the above “His loving- kindness, His Mercy endures and is everlasting, HE is good. Let those redeemed of Him say so” she has been rest of the LORD.
Reminding me of “And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” Revelation 22:17
Regardless of ones theology of who the bride is, regardless of who the redeemed of the LORD are…maybe all “redeemed of the LORD” fit in somewhere in between ‘the Spirit and the bride say’…and ‘let him that hears say Come.’ To be clearer consider Jesus Christ prayer to the Father: ‘not only pray I for these alone, but for them ALSO which shall believe on me through their word; John 17:18-20
psalm 107 speaks of thirst and hunger, so how could “And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” How can psalm 107 not be mentioned in ‘come’ the loving-kindness, the Mercy of the LORD is everlasting, as He IS good! Let those Redeemed of the LORD say so.
To be continued…
