It is sad that Americans had to be embarrassed by a full display of our inherent racism in Charlottesville to take notice of our incompetent President. Even his taunts against a crazy leader with nuclear weapons didn't do it, but his racism on parade might actually topple the man baby in the White House because of his dysfunctional frontal lobe; his lack of a filter exposed Americas racism, which has been with us all along and ignored. I hope we get rid of Trump, but we cannot forget what we saw in Charlottesville either. That was not fake news. We are a racist society and we need to own it and actively root it out. Germany had to own their part in WWII and actively work against Racism and Fascism - America is long overdue.

Dear Aspen,

How do we get rid of racism?

I noticed you identify yourself as a Christian. Are some of the things you said about the President the same thing Christ would say about our President?

Recognizing our tendency to be tribal is the first step. We need to stop feeling guilt and shame about it because it leads to hiding and ignoring the problem. Instead of being angry when it is pointed out, we can listen to feedback and change our behavior. We should be talking about our history of racism and learning different ways to interact with each other.

One thing we do know, based on research, is that the older we get, the more we want to be with our own race/culture (this applies to all people) because older people like predictability - so we need to start changing attitudes early in life. By the time we get older and seek to be around people who share our values/race/culture we will hopefully remain respectful and loving towards people of other cultures.

Racism like poverty will always be with us, which is why we need to be aware of it and actively work against it.

That is a bunch of hooey.

We are not a racist society, in fact it was my generation that kicked it...and only our last president who brought it back for his own political agenda. Shame on those who now join him in creating division where there was a well established love for all races. Our heroes are still of every color, which is evident. Except now that is changing - not because of trump, but because of political garbage.

As for Trump - he is our duly elected president. Quit bad-mouthing him, simply because you don't agree with his politics. You lost the election. Now it is your god-given commandment to respect and pray for him. ...Do you even know him? Because, if you did (as I do), you would know the truth, that he is a nice, respectful, considerate person. He has run with the theme of doing what is best for America, to his own sacrifice. Do you think he needed this? That's crazy! He has also shown that he is colorblind and wanting to work with all people, and has surrounded himself with those who love the Lord.

Trump is not the problem - those who hate and attack him are. By attacking our duly elected president they/you are attacking America - and your neighbor.

If you call yourself a Christian, you will cease and desist your attacks. It is God who raises up leaders, and against whom you now reject.

So I am not allowed to form a negative opinion about Trump? BTW, this thread is about racism in America, which has been intertwined with our history two hundred years before we even became a nation. Your generation is not powerful enough to stop it and Trump is certainly not compentant enough to conjure it up again. The very fact it was on parade last week shows us that we need to be vigilant in our efforts to confront it and change attitudes

Trump is indeed less than perfect...but he shows that he cares deeply that changes be made, and for America to not persist in the same secular mindset, and to root out the political/media circus that is standing against the rule of law. He is open and outspoken about every attack made on him, or indeed on this nation, and I do not despise him speaking his mind, even if it makes me uncomfortable! He is the President, and he deserves the same respectful treatment that was given to Washington and Lincoln, no matter how he may appear on the media, particularly when they are less than accurately portraying the man.

Racism is not the problem that we face now, but a complete lack of truth in all media, and a culture of corruption that transcends race in the attempt to pull down this country. Soro's and others that hate all Believers are paying for all this strife through their foundations, and it is they that are attempting to make it impossible for anyone but their own tools to run the country, and turn it over to the Globalist Agenda.

It's not the perception of racial and cultural differences that is getting in the way of our country moving forward, but money and power that is the problem. All that so called 'racism' stems from, if you will look at every racial conflict in history, is politically motivated, when in truth there is only one race on this planet that are human...the Human Race.

NO! worries!! ==Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. 19 Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.
Ephesians 6:10-20

In a/the word, No. Not if you call yourself a Christian.

If you want to speak against Trump's politics, you are free to do so. But to undermine his effectiveness as a leader, No. Nor, to attack him personally.

As for racism in America - this is not racism. This is hate, pure and simple, under the guise of reopening an old wound, as an act of despicable desperation of the worst kind. This is abuse.

If you are not convinced, you should be. Just turn on the TV, go to the super market, the airport - people in the real world get along just fine. This is political...and if you are buying into it, you have been duped, used. And now you are rooting for divisiveness - you are a part of the problem.

We did stop it.

As for Trump being competent, if you are speaking of his past, you are wrong, his record stands for itself - he is a phenomenal success. If you are speaking of the future, you are speaking out of turn. Sounds like you are the one who is prejudice.

What was on parade was not Trump - he was dragged into it by the hate-mongering mobs.

We stopped racism. Direct your vigilance toward hatred...and stop partaking.

Satan and demons hate and attack, who wants to help pure evil and be used by satan as his tool, fool, puppet??
President Trump's struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. We need to pray that God gives President Trump wisdom, understanding and His protection and that all evil be defeated and that the people of the USA be able to live in God's love and blessings!! PTL.!!! ptl.

Trump has lost money on every single thing he ever did, and if you are over about 50 you should even remember the day back in the 70s/80s (70s i think) when he was about to go totally bankrupt, last casino about to get shut down, only the next day everything was majically ok? 'Member? The day Soros or whomever bought the name "Trump?" Of course the MSM didn't pitch it that way

Trump is a complete loser, and even gets to hide his tax returns if he wants--which of course he wants lol, gee i wonder why

even if he is a paper billionaire lol

I know what you mean. All those racist's who were attacking those who had the right and permits to protest, and all those police that let them do so and didn't protect the ones who had the right and permits to protest, is a pure sign of racism against the white race.

The crimes at Charlottesville were due to the racism of the Federal government and media, and the local authorities in Charlottesville.

Did the anti-protestors have permits? Of course not. But that doesn't matter. Because these are white people they are coming against. So, they don't need permits.

I don't care how much anyone disagrees with those who had the right to protest. The point is they had the right. But our government and local racist black people and minorities and liberals believe that right is only for them. Not others.

Indeed we are a racist society. And we need to own it and quit buying into the bs. from the libs and minorites and media that that is bad. Or that it is only whites that are racist. The most racist people in the world are the minority races. But we are suppsed to applaud their racism. It is 'cultural' they say. At the same time the white culture is to be torn down and declared evil.

What are you planning on 'rooting out' and how, under the Constitution. Or does that not apply to those who disagree with you?

sorry, but ol' PT chose "the world" a looong time ago, and has openly and repeatedly denied needing to ever rebound, about anything, "especially to God."

It is troubling that you seem to feel represented by the nationalists that were protesting. People died.

We agree that there is racism in this country, what do you propose we do about it?

Trump was bought and paid for years ago, and the campaign to elect him prolly started the next day. And if you're older than 45 or so you might even remember the first time Trump was about to go completely bankrupt, and then suddenly he wasn't. Since then he has made a business model out of it, seems like you might even remember in the late 1970's when Trump was about to go completely bankrupt, and then he wasn't. - Google Search
"no major U.S. company has filed for Chapter 11 more than Trump's casino..."
